Im gonna have to pull the trans/motor to reseat this huh? Little metal ring on the inside of the pressure plate seems to have popped out if that gold clip when i pressed the clutch after an engine install.
To answer this for future researchers: No, the OEM style will not work with your ORC clutch. And no you should not try to reuse your shitty clip unless you enjoy trans/clutch jobs. If it popped out once, it will surely happen again. Still have no idea how to get a replacement ORC one though, reaching out via email. RHDJapan seems to have one that may work, but for 170 I’ll try to reach ORC first.
Those 2 clips are like 90$ oem so for the orc ones to be that expensive is about right. I didnt know orc even made a pull type for the fd. I thought you had to switch over to push which is why they have that conversion kit
Not sure, it was actually already installed when i got the car. Looks like an ORC 559 though. Any info and replacement parts seems abnormally difficult to find though.. cant even find pns for the normal wear parts on ORCs site (granted, its in japanese).
