How to seal these threads

Best way to seal these npt threads. Maybe I didn't have them tight enough before, but I used permatex #3 and both threads on the fpr leaked. Now I have tightened them with a lot more torque and some white teflon tape and no leak. I see no leak on the rail which is very tight with the permatex #3.

I hear no whiteTeflon Tape...
I heard use yellow Teflon tape, but it is the same damn thing just thicker I believe.
I thought npt threads required no sealant.

Any other thread sealant you guys would say? Do you even need to seal these particular fittings?

For future reference if anyone sees this and wonders the same. I am using
Permatex Aviation gasket sealer #3 on the threads with no leaks on the rail and regular teflon tape on the npt threads going into the fpr

If I have any issues what so ever I will update this thread.

Yellow is designed for "Gas" and when they speak of gas they are not talking gasoline or gas in a liquid state. They are speaking of propane, natural gas, etc.
Composition is the same according to Permatex and 3m. Teflon tape is Teflon tape. Will gasoline eat it up? Maybe, but it will have to push that gelatinous crap past the other tape and then eat that tape and push it past the next, etc., etc.
I will keep an eye on it. I spent quite a bit of time on the internet listening to all the "gurus" until I finally called permatex and 3m to get answers from them.

I will dip some in gasoline and see what happens to it.

I will keep an eye on it.

Permatex makes a liquid thread sealant that's good for: "Resists all auto shop fluids, fuels and gases, Safe on gas & propane fittings, Temperature range up to 204C (400F)"

Thanks all. I started cruise tuning today and will leave everything as is. I will keep a close eye on everything. It's about 98% and pretty much time to get back into boost.
