Now that you've stated the year, what exactly do you want to do to the ignition and why.

Well my key ignition is busted cause the previous owner didn't have a key. So they is used a screw driver, when that stopped working they took the switch from the back of the ignition and used that to start the car. Now I cant turn either of them to start the car. To start the car I have to pop start while going down a hill, and can't turn the car off. I've seen some toggle setups and would like to go that route, but I have no clue where to start.

Is the wiring to the ignition switch all hacked up?
the switch has connectors on it before it hits the switch so really all you'd have to do is just replace the ignition switch.
Get a used switch with the key and plug and play..boom...done.
