Improperly built motor.
Overheat.
Overrevved.

Detonation
Maybe overheated
Did they mill the rotors? I have seen improperly milled rotors do this.

it was not overheated or overreved.i think may be the guy that built my engine or detonation.it was stock with 2mm 2 peice seals and a s5 turbo with full racingbeat exhaust and knightsport fcd. i am going to build it again but i need one rotor i have one s4 and one s5 so i need to look for one of them and buy new seals. i was boosting like 8-10 when it was running or could have that made it run lean.

Having a lean mix could have definitely caused detonation.
