Dual Alternator Pulley Squeel
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to hear some input from others who have experienced and resolved a similar issue. I recently installed a dual alternator pulley setup on my 88 FC vert after removing the air pump. For a few months its been fine but recently have started getting pulley slip when revving and sometimes prolonging through1st and into 2nd gear. Regardless of pulley tension, the issue persists. I believe the belts are true and everything lines up as it should.
Any chance it's just the cheap belts included with the kit? For reference, it is the Banzai Racing kit.
I've also read it could possibly indicate a bad fan clutch putting unnecessary load on the pulley? Not sure if this is the case, it seems to blow strong still, and I'm not experiencing overheating issues, just running a little warm on hot days and after the belt has been slipping.
Any input would be great.
