Difference after tunning..??

I just recently dropped of my car at a-spec for tunnig, I put in a Power FC and bunch of other stuff. I was just wondering if the setting that comes with the Power FC and the setup after the tunning really makes that much of a difference? I know it will make some differnece but is it really worth the 300-350 dollars that you have to pay for it? If so whats the max hp you could get out of a well tunned Power FC and does it add more reliability?

Not sure if these are "newbie" questions but i did a search and didn't come up with much.

-THANKS, TOM

Well considering people pay $1500 for a IC that doesnt give hardly any rwhp I'd say that yea $300-$350 for 10+rwhp is worth it. Even if its not any more power just being "tuned" is the right way to do things and that makes it worth it. Especialy when blowing the engine is going to probably cost you at least $5000.

Also, keep in mind that it depends on your tuner. It also depends on what boost your running, the base map for the PFC has very conservative timing at higher boost so the gains will probably be more when they bump it up some.

Well lets not get confused here!! You can get alot more out of tunning than 10hp. Now im not sure in his case, because it changes from case to case. Tunningmake all the difference in the world! And a intercooler inst for more power its for more boost!

why is everybody saying 10hp max? depends on what you have on your car and you didn't list it. i recall zerobanger gained some decent power with tuning. but it also depends on how much you want to push it. and yea, the IC does add power...lower intake temp = more power, even at same boost level.

Tuning is almost always the cheapest HP you can buy. I got 27 RWHP from a tuning session on my car.

OK FMIC with no tuning vs tuning where is the big gain. Colder intake temps lead to a different A/f ratio, but yet you can only gain a few RWHP from it. The main advantage is for turning up the boost, thats what im trying to say.
