Alternator Belt

What would cause my alternator belt to twist?

Drove approximately 30 miles on a hot day.

TIA

Usually when that happens it is from stretching at high RPM. Sometimes they fall off but usually they just do that.

Need a better belt.

Thanks. Just order a Gates belt. Also going to switch to a dual belt.
