Are you sure about that Kevin? I know you ship engines alot, but I weighed my S4 N/A shortblock while it was out (all that was on it was waterpump and housing) and it weighed in at 191lbs. I'm not sure of the exact weight of the IMs and TB, but it cant be 100lbs....

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
Yeah, shortblocks weigh in right at 185-190lb depending on year and model.
Consider, though, that you have a 20-25lb flywheel, sometimes even a clutch assembly, a 20lb exhaust manifold (and or turbo), 20lb of intake manifolds and stuff, 5lb of wiring harness, 15lb of airpump and bracketry, adn you can easily see how you get 325-370 depending on skid weight (anywhere from 20-40lb itself).

Umm well I could lift my 'short block' 13b w/flywheel, front cover water pump fairly easily, and im not that strong of a person, i'd estimate 100kg for that 'short block' I could also lift my long block 13b with everything except exhaust manifold, for a short period of time, and i can't see it weighing _THAT_ much more(~100-150lb)??!!
But hey I've never actually weighed one personally, i'm just suprised about these results thats all... Or maybe I'd just had a few too many wheatbix that day.
