Question weight of the rear differential

what is the weight of the rx7 fd3s rear differential?

I mean what is the weight of it , the whole differential with the differential case.

Probably pretty light. It is a very minimal casting. Is it weight savings you are after or is there another reason? If so, I highly doubt there are any lighter options out there that will hold the same power.

I've shipped them at like 85-90lbs iirc. Take away some weight for the crate, maybe 10ish lbs.

4.1 is 35.5kg, which is close enough to turbojeff's memory. Might need to add a few kilo if buying a diff with the cast iron mount though.

Approx 75 to 80 pounds without the carrier

I tried weighting my GSL and GS diffs. but got weird numbers. Like 130 and 125 pounds. I guess it was too much pressure in one spot on the scale...
