I read it, and that is why i put my name in - my point is, the previous points within the thread do not state

a) timing for when the group buy will either close and initiate shipping
b) the cost and time difference between "slow" vs "fast"
c) while you have said if you can get 5 and lets go (which is why I said, I'm in provided the timing, etc work for me) - you havent communicated that it is what is going to happen
d) what the final group buy cost is now that there is 5.

I'm just trying be practical - I can send you the money ASAP. Let me know.

I was about to move on the orders we have and get final pricing, but then it seemed like ppl may be interested in an Exedy GB in general? The larger the order overall, the better the discounts, so it's really your guys' call.

Time difference is a week or so vs weeks.

Thanks,
~Ramy

Ok guys, there's good news and there's bad news.

- Good news: I got a price, and it's discounted.
- Bad news: The exchange rate dropped significantly in the past few days, so the price isn't as good as it could have been a few days ago.

Clutch: $1675
EMS (3 - 5 days): $200
Surface (4 - 8 weeks): $100

Lemme know, as I'd like to move on these before the exchange rate continues to drop (as it has been doing), and while the discount offer I got is still valid.

Thanks!
~Ramy

Not as good as I'd hoped, but isn't it possible to drive the cost down further by shipping all five in one package to one US address? Once they get here they can be re-shipped via fedex or ups ground to each buyer.

This has got to be cheaper than 5 of us each paying $200 for EMS ($1000 total).

Nope, because...

1) Shipping cost is based on weight. The greater the weight, the greater the cost

2) The max weight you can ship in one box via EMS is about 66 lbs, which is right about 2 clutches - and that even may not be enough (IIRC it's 33 lb or so per clutch, then add in proper packing material, etc.)

3) Even IF it was cheaper to ship together to here, then I'd have to charge each of you for individual shipping here in the US.

This is EXACTLY why heavy and/or large items take TIME to get here, because expedited shipping is VERY expensive. Putting these in on one of the containers I get woulda made shipping costs negligible. But you guys need 'em now now so... Oh and you're not paying ME for EMS; you're paying the mail service. I don't make a DIME on shipping costs.

Also, not all of you have to pay for EMS; I can ship each one differently (some via EMS, others via Surface).

Re: price, the clutch was down to $1500 - $1600 just a few weeks ago. It's not the discount that's bad, I assure you. I'm getting the LOWEST price you'll ever see, guaranteed, direct from the source. It's the exchange rate... If you lived in Japan, you'd be getting one HECK of a deal...

Yes. While technically all you *need* is the counterweight (OEM), I'd STRONGLY suggest you get the parts listed here: http://www.fdnewbieimports.com/Backup/product.php?n=43 and replace them when replacing your clutch. Many a time those who fail to do so pay the price by having to repeat the labor later on when other parts that should have been replaced - and weren't - fail (ESPECIALLY the seals and clutch fork). I can get all those parts for ya as a package deal price as well, so lemme know.

Is it too late to add a sixth twin D-core for FD, EMS shipping?

I didn't say anything earlier because I thought this GB was going to take a while and I didn't have time to wait several months. Just let me know where to send payment.

Ramy,

I'm still in on the EMS package, and am interested in the Critical + Recommended Part Combo Kit. What's the package deal on that?

Jack, na it's not too late. Just in time Payment info will be posted shortly.

Peter, sounds good. As mentioned on the site, can get 'em all for $300 shipped. Regular price is closer to $400 (assuming you're getting decent pricing in the first place).

Hey Ramy -

So, 300$ on top of it all for the other parts?

BTW, did you get my email about the wise sports clear lenses?

Best,
M
