Just got one of those Tomy Bit-Char thingies. They are so small... Can't believe they're RC. Didn't test drive yet.
I just had to buy, that's all

mmm. yummi....

I think that most of it is scrach built.. looks nice how ever..

mmm.. twin rotor........

One questionmark on the drivetrain.. looks like it has quite low gearing for a car like that.. the OS engine is not very high rewin...

Mike.. we don't really like you for showing us this..

You have a 787B shell? Is it for sale? i've been looking for one forever, I even some friends that are going to Austraila for vacation and there gonna check some shops and whatnot. Even if it's not for sale, maybe you could get a mold made of it and make some copies? I would really be interested in this. pm me with any decision you make.

It's an "ordinary" Tamiya 787B shell, in 1/10th. They are very rare overhere. I won't sell, but I might consider making a mold. However, it must be clear that selling copies would violate copyright laws. I'll ask my Danish friends (hint, hint) to make a mold, and let you now. Just check back here once in a while.

Hmmmm a 787b shell sure sounds nice, and i assume yhat you mean danish rx7 friends, in that case i dont we or i would be able to make a mold because i effort to mold a rc body you would have to deal with vaccum-forming which neither of us have the machines to do.
BUT what you could do was to take the shell apply a release agent then fill the body with liquid silicone or latex and VIOLA there you have a exact copy of the original mold, all there is left now is to have a copy milled in aluminum, drill very small holes allover it to allow vaccum and then offcause a thermovaccumforming machine.

Maybe this would be a project for hIGGI, I bet you could sell a lot of those bodys since tamiya doesnt make them anymore

Yep Kim, that was what I thought too. Actually this idea was not started by a danish RX7 friend, but by a swedish (Magnus) because of the SA widebody RC I saw. That problem was solved by Andreas, who sold us the RC bodies. But I guess the same thing could be done with a 787B. Nevertheless, I feel a bit uncomfy with the idea of experiments with a body that has cost me way over $100 (way too much, but hell I couldn't find any so I bought what could...)

Well, we'll see. Can't promise. Personally I simply do not have the equipment needed for such a job. Allthough it would be cool.

no, I didn't... In the end I decided I need all the money I can get to get my car running well again.
Point is: the 787B from Tamiya is exactly the same as other GrC cars from then, yet the 787B seems mor rare, and therefor way more expensive to get. So if I get a Jaguar or something I can get it way cheaper, and use the 787B body parts I have. I payed over $100 for those, so...
