I am thinking to install os wnakel motor to my rc car hpi super nitro but before install the moter I am thinking to convert it to 2 rotor moter.
I buy from os a second engine to use second housing and rotor and also I must build from the begining the center shaft.
Can anyone help me?
Now my car have rx.15 os engine who it have 1.2ps and 2 speed transimition.
If I build 2rotor os engine I thing that I have at least 3ps
Finaly hpi have very good rx7 body.
Also what are you think to ask from os to build new wankel motor for car with 2 rotor I said that because many people want wankel moter for rc cars.
I thing that this thread is a good begining

I doubt that its possible without pouring alot of money into it as you also need to figure out counterweights. Excentricshaft should be easy.
And I dont think the OS wankel fits underneath the FD body as its kindda big.
Also you would need to redo the transmission to compensate for less rpms over the .15 motor.

Icut the body so the engine will be out from the body like buggy bodys.
Why you say that I need a lot of money the cost become 700$ for 2 os wankel engine and 100$ for mechanical technician to build ecentric shaft.For transmition simple I change the gears on 2speed transmition.

My point is that ofcourse it will drive, but with about 10000 rpms less than a .15 motor which is usually about 30000rpms.
So you wont be going as fast as with a regular piston motor.
But then again I wouldnt want to race such a precious toy, man just think about the bragging-rights

lol if you trully want to make that an rx7 you could buy the Os wankel engine , originally its for airplanes but if your a creative type you could some how make it work , its a pretty small engine , lol 1 rotor with apex seals also it comes Peripherally ported already ......lol it makes about 18,000 to 19,000 rpms its cool i have one , its not used for anything , i wanted to buy an Rc body an build a rx7 looking car with the os wankel in it lol

Ok i read some of the FIRst posts , and YEs there are apex seals actually theres even springs on the bottom , the 2 rotor idea is LOVELY when i first bought the engine I went crazy with the same idea , it would be a bit costly though , Now what i am anxious about trying is Porting it , it has a peripherial port but im thinking is it possible to give it a bridge port , or street port or something ,?? just a thought??

that'd be going backwards wouldn't it? The most powerfull port setup is obviously a PP.
by making it SP or BP you'd actually reduce power. Whereas drivebility doesn't count here, does it?
You could of course cut extra ports into the sidehousings, but since the PP will most likely use the maximum port-timing, adding ports would not bring any benifits. Maybe, just maybe adding ports would increase port surface and therefor intake volume, but I highly doubt it'd do much.

I didnt buy yet the os rotor engine.I have no time for hobby but later I try to build 2 rotor moter for 1/10 scale and ofcourse I buy fd body from hpi.
I have speak with my mechanical technician and he told me that they can build a new shaft for 2 rotors and new mount for engine.
The second problem is in fuel how I can send the same fuel to both rotor.I am thinking to install two carbirater and make the same adjust but I dont know if that work well.
Also I am thinking to install from my ops .21 carbirateur and connect the out from carbirater to both rotor.
If someone have any idea please reply.

wait Question #1 is Who and where are you gettin your e shaft an stuff made?? from groupner the company or some guy , because i have the .30 model an i would LOVE the 2 rotor........and HOW much $$$$$$$ cash is it gonna be out your pocket , becuase if it works hook it up with the info , so i can get my 2 rotor goped completed lol .......
if you need carbs just email me or post ,, i have plenty of carbs i have from rc cars down to goped to moped , all the way to 56cc engine carbs all rebuild , some have been ported etc . so if ya need anything just ask
jesus christ man .............. i just calculated Euro into Us cash and thats about $1,800 american cash THATS alot , when the Os wankel engine is only about $340 NEW and only $100 from ebay ............ to you thats about 281 euro for the new engine and on ebay 82 euro .... BUT MAN $1,800 on a little iddy bitty engine a bit bigger than a golf ball , lol dang i mean i would pay about 150 bucks for a machine shop to make me an e-shaft but 1,000 and up ill waste on my rx7........Good luck with the os engine , if you got questions on it ask me i have plenty of pics when i took mine apart
Here in Greece the price list is different from us for examle here the cost for one os wankel engine is 400 euro I need 2 of them to build 2 rotor moter so the cost become 800 euro + mechanical shop cost for mount and e shaft the cost become 1000 euro also if you calculate the gears who must replace to fit into 1/10 scale car and new big carbirateur the cost become 1200 euro.
Also I wish to be born in us because here in Greece the cost for good rx7 fd in very good condition is 30.000 - 34000 euro and rx7 fd who need body work and rebuild the cost is 19000 - 24000 euro with 19000 you buy a car who need and interior work or replace with mazda factory rims and no extras.
But I have see in ebay that with 19000 dollars in us you can buy a great rx7 fd with almost new engine and many extra.

My RC FD has been put away for ages now, should try to get it running again. Still missing a driveshaft though, which is not available in Belgium...
