ok!
Been working alot.. sorry..

Finding sopnsors are not that easy!
I've tried for many years when I was Rc-racing...

What will we put it in.. hmm..
Lets say we make a twinrotor.. the stock OS has like 1.3bhp and revs 18'.
So with some tuning and two rotors we should be making 3bhp and maybe 20' rews.

If you want it in a car you need a hell of a gearing.. this also means that the engine will have to have good bottom/midrange power..
I wounder if it will work.. ah.. it will but will it work so good that you can have really good fun!?

I was looking at my dragster.. could fit it in there.. but then we really need some power.. maybe 3 rotors.. I already run a twospeed gearbox.. just need some new gearing stuff..

Would be really nice.. two exhausts in the air spitting out nitromethane..

BTW, the other rc dragracers are working on a dyno fore those cars and one for engine/clutch...

Maybe it would also be better to run one big carb instead of two small.. easier to tune..

ok, i got ten bodies that i'll sell. about my former post: there are not any spoilers and/or decals because those are for the 3rd gen bodies.
i'll figure out a price and ask a friend who has a dig. cam. to take pics of the 10 bodies.

greetings,
Andreas

If you want it in a car you need a hell of a gearing..
At my local hobby dealer ive seen a Schumacher Nitro Fusion or, something like that, with a 3speed gearbox and a topspeed of 120 km/h but that is with 40000 rpm´s.

Im still thinking about bouilding a rotary powered nitro swamp boat. And when you think about it, it might be the best solution for a rotary "No Dreamy".
Figure this: you have a motor thats known to generate lots of heat, adding 20% nitro and it gets even worse. Then we put a huge fan on it like its meant to from the factory "No more heat problems"
Now we go sailing in an owerpowered reardriven uncontrollable boat, man this will allmost be like riding a real seven

Andreas : Put me down for one....

Kim : Adding more nitro will not get the temp up.. unless you go over 50%... For some reason my engines are runngin cooler on 25% than on 10%. Probably because you stress them less..

A swampboat would work... but it's not a car!
Anyway.. if you cant make the power to match a 3.5cc it's no use putting it in a car..

What is the nitro in the nitromethane mix ? its certainly not the same as the gas is it ? ... I know methanol powered cars run a lot cooler than petrol powered ones ... maybee this is the reason why they run cooler on a higher % nitro ? ?

Nitromethane is an underwater explosive... It carries a lot of oxygen...
In a engine you use it to get more oxygen into the engine.. like nitrous..

Basicly you run on the Methanol and use the Nitro as oxygen..
A full size Top fule car uses 5-8% Methanol.. and the rest Nitro..

It can also be said that Nitro is a slow burner.. that's why you see the impressive flames on nitrocars.. most of it actually burn when it's outside the engine!

I'm pretty sure that someone can fill me in on this.. but this is the basics..

In the case of a 3.5cc Rc engine it has to work harder with less nitro, therefor it getts hotter..
I've seen them do iceracing.. then they mix in petrol to get them to keep the temp up!

Check this one out:

http://www.whs-online.de/update/rosound/rosound.html

It has a videoclip of a NSU RO80, and a video of a Graupner/OS rotary.

Pretty cool...

price

ok, the price is 29 Euro per body excluding shipping (and insurance if you want that).

if you want 1 body or more, e-mail me (i will add my e-mailaddress in my profile now) and my girlfriend will go to the postoffice to see how much the shipping is to your address. she will go tomorrow to see for Belgium, England and Sweden.

i prefer paypal but Western Union or Thomas Cook is fine too.

Magnus, I think we could make both excentric shaft(s) and the sidehousings, because neither are really complicated. Al you'd need then is one engine, and as many replacement rotors/seals as you'd like extra rotors. And of course some extra bearings and stuff...
