Ok, u forced me into it

I pulled euro NA motor, and since euro manual in English is missing i started to tracking all vac hoses in spryder....
Euro six ports are controlled by first solenoid (green plug) both from one vac source. And distributor is hooked up to same source i think...will verify it tomorrow, hopefully will be able to make some routing diagram. I am keeping them, just removed ACV so i`ll have to take care of those 2 vac lines going to ACV. Did TB mod and cleaned and ported up manifold little bit, but not too much....lazy bastard
I am starting to like Euro manifolds more than US ones ;o)

Next time I need to know something I'll ask you to pull another engine :-)
So anyway, it seems like Kim could dump airpump etc and still keep the 6 port actuators, by keeping the right solenoid hooked up.

 

yes thats what i am doing right now.....putting on header, removing ACV and Air Pump and keeping 6ports working..

 

I recently talked to Jeppe, the old(former) owner of my car, he told me that the 5/6 ports are working, ive been too lazy to checkit out, anyways ill be doing the TB-mod and manifold porting soon along with springs, bushings and all kinds of small jobs.

BTW Bart I dont have an airpump or subzero start thingie or EGR system or poweersteering. Basicly my car hates trees and anyother living/breathing thing on this planet

Well, my car has airpump and the like removed too, but that's of course "just" a 12A...
I still wonder about going 13B TT, but I can only do so if I'm able to sell my bike and so on. There's no money for all the things I have/want

 

TB mod is easy, took me about 10 mins yesterday on already removed TB...just mod with filling holes, not porting **** out of TB.....

 

Higgi have you got toe eliminators?
Are you planning on making some for your little rx-shop?
If not do you have measurements on them, because I would like to make some. I have time to spare at work, and ofcourse i would make some for you for helping out.

THis looks like a good set-up for my next project which have allready started, offcourse mine will look alot cleanr when its made in stainless steel, and the engine bay will get cleaned up too. I just cant stand all those wires that goes nowhere and all the other unnecesary stufff fets it too

 

Hmm, Kim... Personally, I wouldn't put that intake there.
Move it to the front, way cooler (=better) air...
Engine bay is usually a mess with Rex's, so indeed, cleaning up is a good idea. That's one of the projects for me too. I started by replacing all 10mm bolts with stainless steel allen head ones. Looks better, and stays better. No more worn heads...
First project will be interior for me. New carpets, installing the custom doorpanels, need new inner roof, remove backseat, install custom made storage boxes (battery has to move inside), make provisions for a stereo (nothing special, I'm not into driving juke-boxes), ...

 

Im planing for a cowl induction scoop, it will sit over the filter and right in the aerodynamic COP (center of pressure) so i dont think that it will be a problem

 

that sounds ok, but an airbox connected to a scoop would still be better then just a filter above a hot exhaust!
If I ever get a 13B (might wait until the car is 25 years old and no longer needs inspections) I'll use a setup close to the Mariah cold airbox for FC's.

 

You can always go the DIY-ghetto way, and dont pay the ridiculous amounts these companies ask for a piece of plastic and a aluminum tube

 

That's it! Just take a look at their designs, and make something yourself. Those companies take so much money for something you can make for a few euros!

Send me set once u`ll be ready, i`ll get machined inner steel tubes for it and send it to you for exchange if u like...don`t see too much opportunity for selling those, RB ones are not expensive....we just might use few sets here on our cars (i already have mine RB ones installed and those i took pictures of are for peter's car)

BTW I have just finished installing my 35mm lowering springs, it didnt have any springrate listed in the brochure, but they sure do handle really well, stuff left to do before sweden:
urethane bushing install
go buy new sway bar links
and install those
Install stainless steel brake and clutch lines
Make that cold air induction mentioned before in this thread.

 

Stuff to do before Sweden, for me:
buy beer for Kim and the others
try to find enough money for the trip
sort the car out
try to fit both the beer and the luggage in the car, and leaving enough clearance between tires and arches...
about 3-4mm is fine....

Install my lowering spring tomarrow

I have a High flow cat on order but don't know if it will make it in time and then install my stainless braided brake lines.
So, I'm in good shape for Sweden.

can't believe it's only a month away!!

 

Yeah, yeah, and I need to replace the whole interior by then!!! Man, that'll be working hard next week...
