Projects ?
I have a FB hood and a FC hood (NA) in the garage. When we moved them, I was amazed at how much lighter the (larger) FC hood was. The FB hood which is way smaller actually was very heavy in comparison.

The difference in weight is indeed amazing. I have two spare Al non-turbo hoods in my garage. No, they don't need homes overseas...

I have pulled the engine from my NA, and will rebuild and port it as soon as I can get that damn flywheel nut off.. I have bought a new impact with a max of 1356nm "nut busting force", I am hoping that will do it - using a breaker bar extended to 1m. and using all my weight on the end didn't do anything.
Kim - looking forward to pics and videos!

Yipee! After a few attempts my new impact wrench did it! I can really reccomend this impact, feels great to use. It is a Ingersoll-Rand 2135qti (http://www.toolrage.com/prodView.asp?idproduct=3137)
/!\ 56k ;)
so its probably about time I posted again on this section ... but it seems most of the guys who were about when I last posted are seldom around like myself (Kim and Oliver are the exception to rule I see
)
Here are some photographic updates of my latest projects
As you can see the rx7 is still on the go (quad throttle bodies are being fitted etc.)
The 323 rally car is finished and being rallied frequently
and I have a new project to keep me out of trouble ... a 1979 RWD 323
... soon to be rotary I hope (spot the rx3 x-member)

Lost fuelpressure for some reason, rear rotor ate some apexseals due to detonation.
Motor is out, waiting to be taken apart

Eitherway this is the opportunity to go Peripheral port.
Still sucks donkeyballs though
DOH!
- very sorry to hear that.. Better sort out the fuel-problem before PPort, you wouldn't want to mess up those housings!
Perhaps you could get the original PPort housings cermet coated or something?

OK just took the motor apart today.
We discovered that a rotor-bearing had spun on the shaft.
No apex seals were broken but we have a fucked up rotor and stationary gear + bearings.
Afterall it seems to be a cheap rebuild process.
Going to order race bearings from mazdartrix one of these days.
We have decided to go Peripheral port this time, reusing/modifying the housings and irons.
