Wolf 3d V4+

$1100 + shipping.

This is a new
engine management system I got off the group buy from Chris Greene. I had it installed but found it very difficult to get the 3 rotor engine to run on it. There is ZERO support for this EMS to work with a 20B. This will work on all other engines. If you know this EMS or want to pick it up cheap, it doesn't get any cheaper than $1100.

http://www.wolfems.com.au/home

I am ripping it out this weekend and selling if for the Haltech E11v2. Wolf has terrible support and terrible instructions.

I'll post pics of everything when I have it all removed. Nothing is missing from this kit.

PM me if you want it.

Odd

Chris normally provides very good support and has successfully tuned the unit on 20b's for Cam at Pettit. He's been in a bit of a bind lately with too much on his plate, but he's always supported the Wolf well.

I LOVE mine, but it is a 13bre vs. 20b. More power than I know what to do with (well, almost :-)

I find Chris very difficult ot get a hold of. Especially by email. I'm not blaming him though. He's incredibly nice and full of information. Wolf just doesn't support their product well enough with technical information.

I have just ran out of patience with this EMS and dumping it because I have been stuck at trying to get the right map for the 20B to fire over for the 1st time with the Wolf since August. I thought this EMS would be straight foward like the Haltech EMS, but I was dead wrong! There are still issues with it to be worked out for a 20B.

Yes, it can be tough

Chris is just too much in demand, and he had an issue with his laptop and internet connection that knocked him out for over a month. I live in the same area and it can still be tough for us to hook up. Everyone and their brother are always trying to take his time, including me.

I do plan on a 20b project with Chris someday, but not until I'm retired (say another 12 years, track only car). Good luck with yours.

EDIT - I have had lots of fun for the last three weeks trying to get the boost control to be 'just right' for the car. In the end I've had to do quite a bit of experimenting with a graduated valve position per rpm with temp correction factors that also needed smoothing, otherwise I got huge spikes. When the car makes the kind of power it does, doing this on the street can be tough. the Wolf handbook only eludes to what you really need to do to make it work, but I'm happy with the results.

Talked to Chris - call him!

Rez311 - I spoke to Chris and he would definitely like you to call him. He doesn't recall hearing from you, and he has two 20b maps to share with you. He has one of Cam's 20b Turn Key Terrors at his house right now, waiting for a turbo and manifold from Austrailia. He definitely wants to try to help you, as do I. I'm a believer in the Wolf and hate to see someone not get the product to deliver.

I will be seeing Chris later today to conduct some business and he's avaliable via cell (spoke to him twice today). His cell is 916-289-0488.

Get ahold of David Hayes (forum member) or Cam at Pettit racing because they just installed one of these in Davids 20B Fd Banzai. If cam saved the maps from Davids car, maybe you could pay him to email them to you?
