wolf help, fuel njector trouble

ok i have a wolf 3d 3.1 and a 8813bt with 2x 550s and 2x 1200s i put a monsterous fuel system with full stainless -6 an lines and aermotive regulator. it works fine but for the love of god i cannot get it to catch under its own starting fuel. i have to use starting fluid everytime, once i use starting fluid i can just turn the car over and not touch the gas in it will idle for a bit. base fuel pressure is 45psi if that helps.
any ideas?? btw i owuld post this on the wolf forum but its down or something..

try increasing your cranking amount, you may need more fuel to fire her over

There's something wrong. Are you sure that all your injectors are working? Do you have them staged? Also, did you set your Cold Enrich to 0? Basically, you need to check everything over to find the problem. This is the difficult part of the EMS installation, BTW. Try not to pull out all your hair, and things will be better soon.

yes, i pulled the primarys out and even had them shot into a container, it seemed like it had like a 2-3 second delay before it would squirt, but even if i keep turning the motor over with injectors firing into the motor it never wants to catch by itself..
yes the injectors are staged, i will ahve to check on the cold enrichment tommarow..

oh dont worry evil ive already been pulling my hair out for a year and a half

Micro tech?? ahhh yaaaa.....anyway!

I don't think your staged injection is wired right. First off get some new plugs....What is your auxillary injectors set at?? set them to 98% if there not and you'll have to tweak the fuel parameters from there.

wow your cranking fuel is high....

Whats your global fuel @ ???? try in the 8.06-9.00mS range.

Remember your timing has to set to zero, so check that and get back to me....

Wow...
...my inital crank timing is 20....

BTW, do you guys have any cold idle problems with the Wolf? No matter how much I mess with the Cold Enrichment and Post Start Enrichment etc, it just wont idle on its own for the first minute or so...I have to give it some throttle.

that seems to be a common problem. I have 1680cc injectors so it took some time to get it right, but I only have to turn mine over once and its starts and idles rich, then cleans up as the water temps rise.....

I can send you my MAP but it won't be much help unless you have the same setup...ya know?

Your timing is at zero thats a great start so just continue tweaking it...let me know if you need any help....Brad

Don't even waste your time with that guy......

I know a guy from Puerto Rico that knows everything there is to know about a Wolf.....

So let me get this right, you need to use starting fluid to get it going?

well thats great, ron is like 250miles away max.. puerto rico is quite a bit father, thats the reason.

yeah i have the brake booster line going to a line right on the left intake, and i shoot the starting fluid down the hose. works pretty good i geuss but id rather just turn the key over

does this guy you speak of have a email or anything?

I can help you from what I understand Ron is NOT the rep anymore...THANK GOD!!!

E-mail efiniiii@yahoo.com He is a master at the hard to figure out stuff.....I don't understand why you'd need starting fluid.. I think your staged injection is wrong or your timing on the Wolf doesn't match the CAS....They both have to be @ zero or otherwise compensate with the Ignition timing adjust.......

Tell him I sent ya..... Brad

Sorry to hear you are having so many issues.

Contact Chris Greene@ 916 852-0306, He will be able to point you to a tuner in your area.

BTW, your cranking fuel rate does sound rather high as well as your initial fuel. Your crank timing should be a little higher. If your ignition timing is off you will get hard starts no matter what.

Chris at CPE 916-852-0306 can help some.

I also go to CPE and i have a wolf 3.1, but i have 720 secondaries. Make sure your staging isnt above around 72% right now, you dont want your big secondaries firing right now while you are just trying to fire up your car. I can get the numbers off of my map in my car and send them to you if that will help. My car starts no problem, i just press the pedal once while turning over the motor and it fires right up. The wolf 4.0 is actually better for controlling big secondaries, you might want to think about upgrading to it eventually. Thats what im doing because i cant get the control i want with the 3.1. The nice thing is that the new 4.0 just plugs into the harness you already installed, just have to run 3 new wires i believe. Hope this helps a little

Graham
