question: fd and emanage

Ok, I just got a 93 FD. A friend of mine will give me an E-manage for free. Will it work (properly) on this car. Only mods that I am planning on the car getting - downpipe, catback, intake, and maybe a midpipe.
Pros? Cons? Things to look out for?

It won't really accomplish anything. It won't let you run higher boost than stock and the stock ecu is already rich enough for any mods below 10 psi.

I don't really know alot about that system, but to rynbergs comment couldn't you just get a boost controller, like the greddy profec B and then turn up boost and tune to that. I think the new profecs might even have a way to attach them to their emanage system if what I remember reading was correct. Also to answer the original question, yes the emanage system will work on the fd, but I'm not sure if you have to get one thats programmed specifically for our vehicle type. Sorry one more comment. Even though rynberg doesn't seen to think their is a point to it, you mentioned about a mid pipe, wouldn't it be better to be safe than sorry and have a properly tuned computer? Just a thought, rynberg does have alot more posts and has been around longer so he may be right. I'm kinda a new myself compared to alot of other people.

Heres a link to some people talking about it. https://www.rx7club.com/engine-management-forum-37/greddy-e-manage-finally-86137/ Aft reading a little I'd say if you can get it for free and have some one that can tune it go for it.

I'm not sure if the E-Manage will remove the stock ECU fuel cut. If it does, it looks like you can do quite a bit with it for the price. If it doesn't remove the stock fuel cut, it will pretty much be worthless without something like a Fuel Cut Defenser.

no fcd in emanage, you will need a seperate fcd.

emanage is like a safc2 but better.

you will have use for it when you start getting more powah out of ya car.

E-manage is VERY cheep for people with the following cars ...

http://www.metraonline.com/product.a...-7901&x=23&y=9

the left side connector fits the place for the ignitiong harness in emange, no need to buy any extras ... just use that as ignition harenss and pull the un-used cables and pins to use as injector controll harness whires (all info on connectiong etc is in the emanage manual)

also .. if you get E-manage you should buy a pc connection clone cable from simon that you can contact on the emamage group posted above (he also have a preasure sensor if you like to use that) .. and DL the software.

total price = what you pay for the main unit and like 30$ for the simon cable ...

/bo, hope to god i have not thrown that connector away when i installed my new stereo..

The emanage does have a FCD, here's what the program menu looks like.

I don't know that it works but I see no reason it won't

If anyone's actually got one connected to a FD, I'd like to know how you hook up the primary and secondary injectors to the e-manage. Did you assign 1 channel to each injector or did you splice the injectors in pairs (i.e. primary-primary and secondary- secondary)?

Sorry i ment, the FCD in e-mange dont work for our cars.

I wired the oem presure sensor to work as a greddy boost sensor ...
so now i have a fully expanded e-manage system for the only cost of the main unit and the pirate pc-cable

pm me if you cant find the correct connections for that to work ...
