HALTECH all the way!!!! the haltech e6k is much easier to load maps to but a BITCH to install. p-fc is super easy to install but is a bitch to set the maps and tune. you will need a pro to dyno tune the sucker to run right.

good luck

Isn't it true that you'll also need a laptop to tune the Haltech? whereas the Apexi PFC has the handheld terminal tuning your stuff.

so thats another $200-$500 for a cheap laptop on top of the cost of the Haltech.

The Haltech really only needs a 286 running in DOS.&nbsp You can get these on eBay under $200 (under $100?) all day any day...

You can tune the PFC with a laptop as well.

the pfc is a total pain in the ***.....purchased mine from the store...it came not tuned to the specs I requested...xs is the only place that tunes em on a dyno here locally and they are too busy to handle customers right now with their move.

Im debating selling my brand new pfc to someone who does not need to dyno the car and getting another ecu that can be tuned by another dyno team.

I would not have purchased that ecu if I had known no one in the area could dyno it except for the over busy xs.

what should I do??

pfc

Regardless of what computer you go with you should have it tuned on a dyno with a wide band.

If you go with the PFC make sure your dyno tuner has the software to tune it, the key pad is good for quick minor adjustments, but not for full tunning.

Alot of people want to tune the car themselves, if you know what you are doing more power to you. The tuning is the most important part to keep your engine from popping, but it's your car, and your money. I would rather spennd a couple of hundred on a tune than a few thousand on a motor.
