roll cage rules

roll cage rules

Hello,
I am building a 1987 rx7 drift car and I was wondering for the rules on the roll cage I know it has to be a six point or better roll cage with Full front A pillar beams and door impact protection beams. But do they want the Under dash bar?

depends entirely on what governing body you'd be driving under I'd imagine. Everyone publishes tech requirements.

download the 09 formula D rulebook. It should say exactly what you cage needs to be, if you are going to go pro.

or if your just trying to have fun and be safe to tandem, most events just check for a cage and door bars to tandem..

You can sometimes find rules specific to safety spec online, as well as in the rule book.

Last time I checked you could find it on their website. That was about 3 years ago though.

For the USA follow whatever is the STD for SCCA GT rules & you will be good for Grip & Drift. Hint SCCA sanctions FD.

do exactly what formula d says to, while refrencing the GCR thing, andddd use good judgment. its allways ok to look at pics of other cars...
