My old RB exhaust would make just as many sparks when it hit over a bump.
Needs to be like this to be cool...

Who in their right mind would drag magnesium under their car? Yes, it's good due it's light weight but you're playing with a fire bomb. find some old peice of metal and drag that if you want sparks.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnesium
Magnesium metal and its alloys are explosive hazards; they are highly flammable in their pure form when molten or in powder or in ribbon form. Burning or molten magnesium metal reacts violently with water. When working with powdered magnesium, safety glasses with welding eye protection are employed, because the bright white light produced by burning magnesium contains ultraviolet light that can permanently damage the retinas of the eyes.

Settle down? I can't help it that I have common sense. Go ahead and blow up you and your car. Make sure to have someone record it so we can repost it and laugh like that vid of the FD's wheels falling off.
There's a difference between having a good time and plain stupidity and you can't seem to tell the difference.

I explained what I was thinking about doing to the guy at the metals shop and He laughed saying it would be fine... Maybe he just wanted to see some kid blow up too who knows.

Pretty much one of the most retarded ideas I've ever heard.
-but I agree with you.... do it... get it on video.... there are great hospitals for burn victims.
I honestly don't see why anyone would even spend their time replying to his statement if you don't give a **** about what happens. Step 1: Let's not be pompous idiots over the internet, just because our car might be better than someone elses. Step 2: Learn to breathe, and let someone voice their own ideas without being flamed by the local Rx7 trolls.

Yea, The lowest part of my exhaust is right after the rear end when it tilts up.

Solid magnesium isn't going to light on fire, machining shavings will however, ask me how I know. But seriously, a solid piece of magnesium would take soooo much energy to combust that it could never happen by dragging it. It will however produce some very very white sparks.
On a side note, bikers and scooter people do this **** all the time, either titanium or magnesium.

Btw, if your FC is a example of your build skills then you aren't helping your cause by saying you built other cars. It just warns me to stay away from PA because their are dangerous cars driving on the streets.
Nope, that's where you are wrong. I take you being serious about making about your car a bomb as serious, and that's why I'm making fun of you.
BTW, I'm making fun of you in real life, I'm just doing it through the internet.
Too bad I'm right cause that makes me a hater.
