yo,
on this build I had redo the whole engine, because I made a mistake reusing old seals and bearings.
I changed the bearings, eshaft, all new springs, same reuseable hardseals, new oil ring seals, 93+ corner springs, new apex seals, side seal springs, ported out the exhaust and intake, ported the tb..etc etc

On your rebuild dont go cheap, buy and replace all the seals.
The best is to change all the springs [oil springs, apex seal, side seal, corner springs] if you are going to reuse the hard seals. Itl give it much compression to start. You should rebuild your motor before an apex seal blows, so you can save your housings and rotors[the most expensive parts] . Change all the gaskets and water seals to new ones. I recomend the pineapple water jacket seals [$180] they are reuseable, durable and wont leak.

I made a mistake when i built my first motor, I reused all the same bearings, and springs and hardseals, I just replaced the apex seals and rotor and housing, waterseals and gaskets thinking it will be good enough just to get it running again. It started up and all. But the reused springs caused my engine to be low compression, it felt like 60hp, and my front stationary gear bearing also shot. So it made me rebuild my engine again. doubling the work. I learned my lesson, dont reuse springs and if the bearings have any discoloration or any wear signs replace them . Check your e shaft too. Make sure theres no scratches.

Good luck on the rebuild ! make a thread when you build your motor, so ppl on the forums can chime in and help you out.

Win. I love attention to detail but i like seeing **** get done quick, cheap and simple with a bit of creativity too.

thanks for the info. This engine only has about 2k miles on it. I took it to PFS to get utned and we warpped the 3mm seals again. I'll tear it a part and see what is the problem, parts I can re-use, and new parts to purchase. A build tread will definetly be made to help me rebuild it.

since it bothers you soooo much, arent you glad i did the doors, and the rear reflector moldings... it's just the rear bumper, i can deal with it. now if it was a show car or a trailer bitch, then i would definitely worry about the rear bumper.

but, since it isnt... uh.. you know, whocares.

edit: who here runs 18's rear, and 17's in the front?

reason i am asking, is because i am going to lower the car more, but at the car will look shitty without the slight rake, so i am going to fill whatever remaining gap with wheels.
