i just made a new mount (12mm id, 1"od tube, and added a gusset, similar to the ones your making) and run heim joints for tie rod ends. i moved the pick up point about 1 1/4" in.

 

Techtrix moar interior pics please. I'm curious about your switch panel and how you mounted your hydro brake. Judging from the handle I have the same brake.

We were filming a few clips, and I was coming into this corner pretty near the top of 2nd gear. I got it a bunch of times, then I tried to come in faster with a way more aggressive entry, and I ran out of gear halfway through the corner. The car lost power, stopped drifting, went from drift to straight to undesteer in about a second, I tried the wrong stuff to correct, and now the right frame rail is about 3 inches higher than the left! I haven't seen many cars get this crooked from a bump during drifting, that's for sure. It was 100% driver error, but I can just add this to the long list of lessons this car's taught me... it's had a pretty good run these past couple of years, and I'll be back next year.

damn that sucks man. what a burn. Just need to find another shell to transfer everything...Im sure somebody with a blown motor in their fc, will be glad to get rid of theirs for cheap ormaybefree.. Maybe youll find a s5 body this time...

 

Thanks guys! Sadly, I don't have any money to buy another chassis right now, I'm always drained BONE dry by the end of a driving season. I literally saved all winter just to have enough money for gas and tires for this season.

The one good thing is, the season is 99% over in Chicago, so I'm not missing much. I'm pretty confident that with some help I can put together another FC of some kind for next year. It'll be basic just like my old one, I'm sure, but that's fine for me as long as I'm driving.

It doesn't look like it in the clip, but I'm at the top of 3rd going like 85 into the corner. It was my first time coming into a street corner that fast, I remember it was so cool to watch the speedometer crawl up toward 100mph and know that I was about to be initiating.

hahaah, that **** is hilarious... you were freakin banging on the transition.


you can definitely see the difference in chassis, and suspension setup. that fc can maintain so much speed on the transition, then slow down enought to just get close to the wall.... but the er34, and the z33 both hit the wall trying to keep up with it on the trailing runs.

 

His bas has a TII diff or some **** then I remember reading it.

well, justin hit tanner (it was rad!). it was hard to tell, but it looked like tanner slowed down a lot, and justin was suckin him up. i dont think tanner was going to spin. if tanner spun first, and justin hit him after he spun then tanner would have gotten a zero

 

I was there watching. To me it looked like tanner was slowing down justin. Justin enters faster , and foust was too slow , making justin hit him getting a zero. To me, i think justin won the first time[but the judges scored ty], the crowd was like "ONE MORE TIME ONE MORE TIME ONE MORE TIME!!" The judges seems to be favoring Foust!! Its rigged !! its rigged I tell u hahah
