Jeff Jones FD3S Formula-D car buid
jeff ran this weekend but due to a oil leak on his cooler they would not let him take his 2nd qual run..he still has stuff he has to work out but they put this car together quick as ****..im sure soon it will be dialed in
The car ran great all weekend...the VMIC setup is insane. Even after multiple back to back runs at Willow Springs, the temps never went over 160-170. It makes more than enough power to hang with the big boys but I'll let Rotary Works put down number info and other details.
We now have about a month to get it ready for Atlanta where we hope to have worked out all the kinks and have a car that's as close to 100% as possible.
Vids of Long Beach coming soon...

Hello everyone....its been a while since the last post up,we have been very busy getting the car ready for many races and learning new things on the way.
The Rx7 was put on our dyno and was tuned to low boost getting the pilot Jeff Jones comfy on the driver seat.Yes we know,no load control but we can tune without the load as we set up our maps very safe. The Rx7 put down 450RWHP at 10psi boost and 400Ft/lbs.
We raced the Rx7 at Long Beach turned up the boost to 15psi making a bit more power as Jeff was getting used to the feel of the car.Sad we had a minor oil leak on one of our fittings plus suspension gremlins as we did not have the coils we needed and was way off on front suspension setup for this event. The Rx7 is getting better as we put more time into the track.
We pat ourselves on the back as we build a complete car withing weeks for a professional event without any type of big money sponsors. Our car was build with proven knowledge and our Rotary-Works off the shelf parts.
Thanks to everyone for the support,we will be beating some of the best teams out there,The Rx7 will be on top with Jeff Jones Racing and our shop Renes Motorsport/Rotary-works.com

Those are 17" MB Battles...awesome wheel for those on a budget
Already touching on the minor issues and Atlanta will be our home away from home.
I'm assuming you know what a bag of dicks looks like and I dont wanna know how you know...keep comments like this to yourself or at least try to use some more educated phrases. If you read the very first intro post, you'd know that the car was painted a at a very respectable paint shop. Only because it isn't to your standards does it mean you have the right to criticize and quite frankly we were more concerned with getting the car running right than looking pretty. Yes we opted to leave the kit black and only cause it gives the car more attitude. Please think before you let your fingers speak...

this job was done in weeks not months .....with our expert fabrication we can do this with our eyes closed LOL,Here you can see our secrets on ours cars.Thats right ALL ALUMINUM Exhaust system!!!We at Rene's MotorSports/Rotary-Works.com has used aluminum exhaust technology for many years in Racing.
On thursday my B DAY april 8 the goal was to finish RX7 with our paint sponsor DONLYSON for quick graphics and install the body parts.Just as plan we finish the Rx7 just in time for the Friday April 9(Race Day).
That was the end to a long journey of this one big project.....check us out at the drift events and more.

This build really is EPIC. The amount of work done in that period of time is crazy. And for anyone who thinks this car looks bad... Honestly... who gives a $hit. It could be painted with dog crap, a paint job or choice of body work has never made anyone win a race/drift event ever. The car performs well and that is what matters. After Jeff starts winning rounds in this thing you'll probably see kids in their civics repping their un-painted kits.
