Speaking of the V-mount its actually getting worked on now. Rad is a triple-pass CSF core. I was sketched out about running a v mount with how low the car is, but this positioning is perfect, and still puts the rad higher than the subframe.
We're probably going to get rid of the stock cross support for something a little more sturdy and better looking
Ive been thinking about the battery box and cutting the metal back a bit. How sketchy is it to have the top tray that close to the battery terminals? The top is made of aluminum but still....I mean im all about living dangerously, but just curious if anyone has any horror stories about accidentally touching the top terminals together.

aight back to the other car again
did work today. assembled subframe. color scheme looks clean all together. im pleased. also put our middle school skateboards to good use
after a lot of hammering and re positioning we finally got everything in the car and torqued down. the pbm bushings made it really hard to put in because they have no give

Please can you measure how much "rising" is done by the parts shop max sub frame riser bushings you have used?
I'm based in Europe and need to do my own aluminum bushings, but I'm unsre of how much of a rise the FC chassis needs.

The top of the pbm bushings are completely flush with the differential cup, where normally the OE bushings flange would go. What PBM did was essentially move this flange to the bottom instead, so the whole differential carrier is raised the thickness of that flange which is ~1/2 if IIRC.
I assume that the 2 subframe main bushings in the front (those pivoting PBM sub frame risers) also sit flush on top with the subframe?

Picked up some Efans and staying with the overkill theme i chose the most powerful ones that Spal makes and pull 3200-some odd CFMs. Coming in at just under 12" each, they will fit perfectly side by side on the back of the rad.
Since ill be running multiple safety sensors to the adaptronic, i got the innovate box thing too to act as an intermediate.
and because those stupid fans pull about 37 amps each, i had to redo my relay panel for higher current and to make a couple tweaks to how the trigger wires were set up. The grommet hole is going to be for the 2awg starter wire to pas through, and i left some extra space on the left to mount the factory fuse box later on.
These are kinda fun to make and if you need one for your car i may consider doing it

It's great to see that your build is still coming along. I can't wait to see it "completed". I love the quality of everything being done, keep it up and please keep the updates coming! Good build threads are almost impossible to come by now

Thanks duders. Not much to report back for now, the fab works been pretty slow. i did make this little bracket thing out of some ABS to hold the adaptronic and ssi4. Cut and shaped it using only a dremel so it took 5EVER

My ebay crapback has served me well and i have no complaints, but its time to go full 3" custom and tuck it up to the body as close as possible. Since Magnaflow is one of my works clients, they were chill enough to hook me up with some shiny new mufflers!
SEMA month is coming up, so not sure how much im gonna be able to get done between now and then.

Things are about to get kicked into high gear. Engine harness is done and about to order all the lines and fittings ill need to plumb everything. Figured i might as well get teflon-coated fuel lines just in case i feel like jumping on the e85 bandwagon.
Found out i got boned by a forum user a while back who sold me a "supra tt fuel pump" which really turned out to be a stock fc fuel pump, so i gotta put one of those on my shopping list. Its partly my fault for not checking when i got it, but whoever that guy is, i can only hope his dick gets caught in a wood chipper.
Dump tubes are getting close, then exhaust comes next weeeeeeeee

Get the Walbro 450. They're quieter, flow better, and cheaper than the 044. If you pay $100 for a 044 on eBay, I doubt it's genuine. MSRP for the 450 is only $140 from the manufacturer, so as long as you don't buy on on ebay for $70, you're probably getting the real deal. My Walbro has been making jam for 3 years now and get's daily driven. Best in tank pump out there.

Engine harness is about 90% done. Waiting until the cars back at my house to finish the last bit of wiring. Fingers crossed the high-temp wrap holds up because my wastegate dump tubes are REAL close to where it comes out of the firewall .__.
and for some closure on the fuel pump: i didnt end up going with either of those (hater tearz) and chose to go with the aeromotive stealth. E85 is just not something that really makes sense for me right now. Theres only one station 30+ miles away that sells it, plus the extra hassle and oil contamination made me internally meh about doing it. This car isnt a dyno queen and im not tryna dick measure with power numbers so its oldschool pump gas for me. I can always switch later on if i really feel like it.

Well my dudes, there's been a real lack of progress the last few months, and i cant help but feel like my car hasn't been a priority to the fab shop. Im beginning to run out of patience, and feel like i need to do something before i lose interest in this build.
The frustration of not being able to fabricate led to my next purchase:
Im incredibly pumped to start learning another craft and get to practicing. Being able to do my own work in the future will be a huge game changer, and cuts the cost and headache out of dealing with flaky shops.
One of the few things that have been worked on lately was the fan shroud. The square holes are for these little rubber chingaderos that open to let air pass through at high speed, but close at slower speed.
I do have to give credit to the fab guy for making this admittedly-sweet rotor shaped upper water neck
with the -20 connected
got a little titanium hard line action. One of my pet peeves is when dudes be having big bulky 100-something degree AN fittings coming of the rails, so used a banjo for more cleanliness
Not progress-related but made it up to big bear with no chains and blown diff bushings over my winter break
and got to be in the pilot episode filming of The Grand Tour. Not a bad experience getting to see the guys IRL
ya bois gonna try to get the updated cracking and covering some serious ground by February so stick around...or dont...
