Thanks man! Were all about doing everything ourselves (usually the wrong way first) and making our own money. Appreciate the support! There will be more info on the dual caliper brackets soon

You'd be surprised. And a good number of the builds here are by people who own/work in a shop with access to more sponsors/tools/money/time

Thank you man! You guys are kind of motivating us in a way too. But yeah were both pretty meticulous and wanted to take the time to do the little things that most people don't care to do. Good luck with the vert!

Is there another site to view/order racefab products? Their website is horrible right now. And I'm liking how those brackets look.

its kinda weird actually you cant buy the bracket off their website i just kinda emailed them and told them what i wanted and then paypal'd the money and it showed up. i believe the email is rotorracing@gmail. the quality seems okay i wasnt really impressed by the packaging or the paint which is why we painted them gold but the brackets seem like theyll work just fine

How much did u end up paying for dual caliper brackets? My friend paid about 220 he said which i thought was pretty pricey for 4 small brackets lol. Also have u decided what angle kit ur going to go with?

I got mine for 175 shipped maybe the price went up???

For the angle kit we will be running abercrombies entire package. Figured its worth a shot because I've heard good things about his work and the angle is more impressive than most other knuckles offered out there

Since you are on a budget...

Make sure you take into account the extra clearance issues you will have with that much angle. I have JTP knuckles and SuperNow tie rod ends and I cant even use them to their full potential. I hit on the frame when I turn one way and hit the LCA when I turn the other way. And I still havent even installed my Uras tie rods yet. I have more angle then I have room for. The only way I can see to fix it is lower offset wheels or spacers. Then once i start pushing the wheel out that far, you have to start considering overfenders. All this adds up to more money spent on the car.

However, i did see that Abercrombie's kit has LCA extensions. That may free up some clearance room. Id really be interested to see how much clearance you have once what once you get the kit. I was debating on just getting the extensions. Let me know how it goes and dont make the same mistake it did and get 9.5J wheels for the front because you wont be able to space them out far enough to get clearance without buying huge (50mm) overfenders

Looking forward to seeing how this turns out.

A++ advice. Inner clearance is handy and sweet angle is moar radderific than stretched tires.

this is a very good point man. the abercrombie kit is rated at like 70 some odd degrees but at the height we will have the car at and just being an fc in general i dont think well be able to get the full amount of lock the kit offers but its cool to have it available. whats nice is that abercrombie welds on adjustable bump stops to the balljoints so you can set them to stop you before you rake your wheels on the LCA. as far as the wheel, were probably gonna have to go with something in a really dumb size and - offset

there hasnt been anything really new with the car progress since were waiting for a chance to get more paint and dragging out the rest of the bushing install because its such a pain in the ***. we took this time to get caught up on a little maintenance work on our daily drivers since theyve been kind of neglected lately

If you're hitting differently on each side you need to re-center your rack.. you can do so by unbolting the steering column and turning it one spline.. then re-align... also for my knuckles you'll should be able to make 9.5j's work with around -16 offset.. and i'd suggest around 4.5deg front camber with 0 toe i made it work while running 235/40-17's....

Subbed. I really like the progress so far, and where you're going with it. I know it's last on your list, but what motor plans do you have?

I'm also glad you tossed the Ractive/APC/Pep Boys seats.
