That turbo is a ******* awesome piece forrealz.

Sucks ***** about the door, but at least its just a door, hopefully it didnt mess up the door bars too bad... they're cake too though.

If you're looking at a Giken Twin Disc Watch out if you're super clutch kick happy. They arent as forgiving on driveline stuff as a 6 puck. I know more people than I can count on one hand that started breaking a whooooooole lotta **** (axle after axle after axle after trans after trans after driveshaft) when switching to a Twin Disc... The clutch never slipped though :-]

i am super clutch bomb happy. i was wanting the twin plate so i can slip as opposed to on/off switch 6puck.

having control of slipping it at high revs off the line would help a **** load with traction, and me getting paced by everyone.

door bars are donezo, but the rest of the cage is good. the door hinge mounts are what im worried about. id like to have it pulled back, but idk anyone that will be able to do it.

It'd be good for the High rev slipping, I'd just be consious of the 8,000 RPM drops in second rolling at 25mph... they grab and stuff twists.
GTX3582 on like 25lbs on race gas... people are gonna have to put in work to pace you in any circumstance.

For the door hinges you can always go ghetto with a cable come-along and a big tree lol.

^25lbs + GTX + Race gas = 550+whp.... don't go blowin her up now.. Probly be a hell of a lot happier and safer at like 16-18lbs with 400-450ish on 91 and water meth injection

The jambs can be pulled. Ive seen it done. If one shop wont do it go to another. That looked like a pretty good hit from that video.

Manny, Buckey and anyone else that's interested... I've ran both the OS twin and Exedy twin, between the two the OS is much more forgiving on transmission and diffs/axles... a Exedy Hyper single is by far the most forgiving, but plan on switching out clutch discs every couple events...

i am way sick of getting paced on the line. i want to start being the ****** that paces others.. the motor is coming out tomorrow to get off to my tuner. going to be super busy this week, but i want to get this **** jamming so i can actually drive the car prior to rd.2

^a single.

To be completely honest, I'd feel safer if you took that car making 460 on 18lbs, drained the 91 octane swill out of it, sold the meth injection. Run the boost up to 25lbs, dumb down the timing a couple of degrees over 20lbs, fatten the fuel up half to three-quarters of a point, ran c16 and heat range 10 plugs gapped to .025. Good seals, and good (turblown) studs. Now that 570hp car is making 525 on a safe tune, giving me IMHO, a car just as safe as 460 on 18lbs and more peace of mind over the possible component failure of the added bs with meth injection leading to detonation. Plus you now have all the rotary awesomeness of sucking down mad fuel, shooting 8 foot fireballs and your car sounding like a fleet of naval cannons when youre riding the limiter. Plus it'll still blow the doors in on any other car on the xdc grid.

...because race car.

Boost isn't what blows up motors, it's the tuner that blows em up.

.... You could always run 18lbs on race gas, make like 475 and never ever have a problem... Keeping it simple.

I've been steering away from aux injection due to the fact it's just another variable for failure... And the simpler it is, to me, less chance for disappointment.

Just got on Facebook and drift just posted pics of the passenger door smashed in. They have a habit of posting old pictures but was this one recent? Car looks to be in the same condition (as far as the kit and paint) as the pic above just with a munched door. Any updates or is this old news?

Edit: Just looked again and Drift shared it from Buckeys facebook page... he posted the pic 4 hours ago. Sorry to share your misfortune Buckey, hope to hear more about it tho(any plans to fix it up or is it time for a chassis switch)?

yea that was recent from this weekends event. already cut apart a new door, and picked up another shell to get the mounts from. dropping the car off monday to spring mountain autobody to have them pull the chassis straight, and mount everything. they gave me a good price and i know they will make it better than i could (i suck at crash reconstruction) so im going to do that while i finish up a few customer jobs.

thanks dude. do need some stuff just no $$ to take advantage of the deals... put off a bunch of customer work to prep my car for the last event, and still just trying to get caught up on everything to get some cars in.

door won't open/close. this was just mounted with the top mount only. monday i will know if Spring Mt. Autobody can pull the mounts back well enough to use them.

ordering a used ACT 6puck from a friend to get my car mobile while i try to find a cheap twin plate clutch.

going to buy, or trade some things for a real diff. hopefully on top of all of this crap get rear toe links, and 4 different injectors, pay for dyno time, pay my tuner to retune my car, and either blow it up (most likely) or break a tranny, and still probably blow it up at XDC.... getting pretty unmotivated with the amount of **** that has went wrong lately...
