Buckey's Pro-Am Build: '87 Mazda RX7 TurboII

It makes the same power output of a GT35R at 5psi less boost, and will carry higher boost pressure in the higher rpms unlike the standard GT35R on a 2 rotor.
I highly doubt any turbo near its size will make a torque curve like that..
It will eat a 500 peak HP gt35R turbo car alive.
No offense taken.

well i had noticed the airflow of the turbo does fall flat a little sooner than i had hoped with the 35R but i didn't notice any issues holding higher boost levels while near maxing out the turbo. held consistent 20psi to 9k no problem, unless you mean with a manual boost controller then i see your point. i had to trim the duty up after about 6.5k to compensate for it's desire to start dropping off boost.
with the 35R the peak came around 8.5k on the same FBP engine that with the master power T70 was still climbing at 9k, but the T70 was pushing about 50whp less(18psi on the T70 versus 20 on the 35R). the 35R surpassed the T70 in power at everywhere below the 20psi mark(basically where this turbo seemed to run out of steam), just using that as a comparison as it was on the same exact car, the T70 is quite outdated now and why he offed it and i don't blame him.
i was just a little off by the standard upgrade which isn't a ball bearing turbo, the 35R has a broad power band so it is ultimately quite quick. i suppose i just thought the standard 3574R had a plenty wide power range with a nice responsive climb that ripped the tires loose up to 80mph even with rather grippy tires just fine.

Thanks bro! Thanks guys for the turbo advice. i'm gonna keep my eyes open. i need to get another pair of TE37s for the rear first before the turbo. hopefully i get some work lined up this week - if not it's going to be a bad first event on the 18th not having my car together...
i finally got some more time for my own cars today. mounted the other over fender, and started to get back on top of finishing my 55mm front fenders.
for now, i'm going to leave this pic right here of the rad Hot Line 50mm rear overs with my 17x9.5 +12 TE's to get amped on finishing this thing.

If anyone in Vegas, or close to vegas is needing paint work done - hit me up please for quotes before spending your tax return on high priced shops.
giving out $500 + killer 2 stage paint job deals to purchase TE's from a friend. the event is right around the corner and i'd like to have matching bronze TE's for the rear of my car to debut it.
killing my profits as my prices are usually $1500+... my loss your gain, help me help you!!!
past work clientele includes:
Team Hybrid
Get Nuts Lab's shop/demo/customer cars
countless returning private customers.
please spread the word! need to come up on $2k in a week - and the vegas scene is lagging!

Got some more time today to mess with the front fenders. made them wider. hopefully i can have both finished up tomorrow, and spray the Aero, Hot Line Overs, Front fenders, and redo my hood/vent, and headlight cover. Easy peezey. Prepped the Hot Line fenders. took like 5 mins cause they're gangster.
Brembo's are still a bit out. Might try to do the front brakes prior to round.1 but more than likely im just going to leave it as is and go burn some tires. still no DTSS elims... still trying to get TE's for the rear... battle.

tons of updates coming up. been putting in a bunch of work to prep for RD.1 on the 18th. It's coming up pretty fast....
My chick bought me paint! Custom blend. Might get it lightened up a tad but i was stressin' paint. was going to get a quart or 2 and just wing the aero, and fenders, but now it's going to look cool for a few hours before destroying it all over again.
I picked up another gun kit to get by until i can afford a newer Sata, or Iwata. Heard these are pretty good, and my friend hooked it up with his discount so i had to swoop.
Super hard trying to fire out side jobs, and finish my car. i'm still $1,500 shy of getting the car rolling. just going to keep making progress and hope it all works out like it always does.
