Your mom can easily take those ***** back. It's just a matter of how hardcore she is.

And thanks. I'm gonna have to do tubs as this thing WILL see street use and i want to keep my bay somewhat dirt free. Why the **** not. I suck at composite body work. Atleast i can weld.

Hey JenkemZenki (what you should change your name to since you huff that **** anyway):

http://www.harborfreight.com/catalog...gory=&q=bender

If that's too pricey, buy the same thing off ebay for $100. This stuff is PROBABLY junk but if it works for just ONE car build, it's paid for itself and then some.

i know a dude with a bender i could just go over there with everything already mapped out and just bend em, smoke a blunt then dip

i would like to buy one but my budget is going to the build... i spent $1300 on the rebuild kit and i still gotta get the a1000, -8 ss line, all the fittings, fabbed surge tank, some 1600's a flywheel and clutch blah blah blah

i also spent too much money on a **** load of house of kolor... i have 6 differnt Kandy koncentrates and 36 quarts of different pearl basecoats plus 2 gallons of sg100 and a gallon of top coat clear... 8 different striping enamels and other **** too. all for $300 lol

Ok, well then why the **** aren't you painting cars?

Really.

Paint one or two cars and there's your own personal welder and tubing bender. Do exhausts, cage, etc... I dunno anyone who's used one of these to make a cage though. A family friend made one using a small hydro mandrel and it turned out good but i'm not sure how these die benders fare. But yeah, you could be funding your hobby by doing your hobby.

The shitty thing is, the first time i saw this car, i threw up in my mouth. Now, i actually like it because i understand the point of a drift car. You can have it nice and sexy and whatever. You know? The clean street look. Or, you can just go crazy with it and not care what people think.

why did you diss my fc with the rotary version of matt powers then?
i read all of this thread and i pick up on some good tips. good job, and happy building

solid words of advice...

read more, post less.

this car in no way, shape, or form can even come close to powers car. its an insult to him for you to even mention that you got your inspiration for this monstrosity from him.

so please, spraypaint your car one solid color, park it in the garage where nobody will see it, and read 100 threads front to back for every single post you post.

Sure.
Suggestion #1: use spell check religiously if you want to be taken seriousness
Suggestion #2: instead of asking questions or giving advice, just build your **** and be legit. Ex. I am building a badass 3rotor and I'm sure that 90% of these cats dont know about it. I'm willing to let my semi-secret out to help your noob ***.

Anyway. Just read and if people here make fun of your ****, its probably for a good reason.

Ryan, If you have insurance, then they will usually cover it. Then you can take it to Han at Highline and get some awesome paint done.

I'm kind of kicking myself for not "Leaving the car out by accident" and contacting the ins company.

Lucky you, no broken glass.

ha dude the fc is definately not insured... i should insure it tho.

on a second note, theres no way anyone else is doing bodywork or painting my car... besides building the motor and tuning it, i have done everything to the fc myself

I feel that. Personally, the thought of having my fc in some garage somewhere makes me cringe. I hear about our local shops and friends garages getting broke into and having stuff stolen all the damn time. Horror stories keep me NOT leaving my car overnight at shops/other peoples houses. I dont have much of a choice though because i'm not doing my first cage. I want to be there and help out with it but i'm not doing it myself.

Anyway, this is what i want to do. Maybe not THAT extreme.... I still want to run my flip ups with motors because i like doing winky lights in traffic because i'm a dumbass. Looks straight forwards enough. What's a good diameter tube to use? Mild box tubing ok? Would it be wise to brace the strut towers and maybe run some bars from the strut towers to the firewall to keep everything straight with the front end being all cut up so when the new stuff is welded in, the chassis is still....um straight?

I understand several guys have this setup just bolt right in. That's gotta make life easier!

My ******* sidewalls drag on my quarters so bad when the car squats that when i do straight line pulls, if i go past 50 percent throttle i go SLOWER. Some *** in a fart piped altezzad honda gave me the ricer flyby after work. Being the vtak hater i am i was going to chase the ****** down and make fun of him infront of his peers at work. It didn't quite go that way. I was like "the ****, i'm going slower. I know my car has more pull than this". Got home, ******* rubber all over my 1/4's....

Found out my spinning out problem. I cant lay the hammer on hard once i get past the apex or throw hard because of this gay **** and me wanting some paper thin fitments.

What would you do?

More camber, re-pull metal up higher (is that possible) or raise car about a 1/4"?

Slidealliance, zenki and ilia are not allowed to make suggestions because i already know what you'll say.
