6 port turbo drift build.

Just finished dyno tunning car.
Did a 6 port turbo with 5 psi on external wastegate. After market headers and cheap t3 turbo
Custom 3 in downpipe and exhaust.
Greddy comp tube and same side intercooler using 2.5. Od on stainless steel.
No bends on intercooler just straight and running no bov.
Injectors running 550cc turbo 2 and 850 cc fic injectors
And safc neo to tune with. Made 270 whp
Will post pics soon. Trying to go in thunderhill pro am. And just drift.
just want to go out there and have some fun drifting.

Does it really matter if it happened or not? I take a nice sized poop every morning, you don't see me posting about it. This looks more like a facebook status update than anything else.

thank you! i never intended to make this much power with 5 psi lol
for the intercooler piping i used stainless steel. top piece is 34 inches and bottom is i think 18 inches. all straight pipe and same side intercooler from gsp. lol.
couplers are from atp turbo. and the greddy comp tube. its a 2.75 to 2.5 couple on it. in between is a 2.5 inch pipe and 90 degree coupler. clamped on it no issues poping off. did like hella dyno runs on it temp stayed super cool. 170 all day
if you have any questions ask away. im still working on this build to have it 100% gonna go for rd 1 pro am thunderhill and if budget allows just go to willows and have some good seat time with this.
there a local track in stockton with banks and nascar style oval track will do on friday.
cant wait to do some work with this.
more pics i use v band style clamps. from local stainless steel distributors. works perfect never had issues yet.

Did you just use an E-bay manifold and weld the turbo to a spacer?

I'm looking to do something similar with my GTUs if I ever sell my other car, just trying to get some ideas together.

I know I can run a stock turbo with a 2.5" manifold spacer as long as I have someone fab up an external wastegate.

I want to avoid swapping my intake manifolds. I'd rather just remove all the emissions crap, ACV, 5/6 Port actuators, OMP etc. like you did.

You can just use a eBay manifold , and it comes with the t3 to t4spacers and a external wastegate setup. It spaces out easy. I welded it one piece cuz its cheap but no leaks ever lol. And you can remove it very easy. I removed all of my emmision cuz not need for it. I recommend wrapping the headers and turbo blanke. I run a 255 walbaro as well.

What are the specs on the Turbo? The more research I'm doing the more I'm seeing a T3 is too small(at least for a 13BT).

I bought this turbo lol like 120 bucks . It's only oiled cool. Used sandwich plate for oil feed 30 bucks.
Turbo really is what comes down to what you want. Mine was just budget. Smaller turbo more boost to push to equal bigger turbo smaller boost. Smaller turbo may spool quicker then larger. Then comes ball bearing and baller stuff. Lol :p idk not a turbo expert. But
I'm suprised it puts out this much. I just really want 80 more hp but just that turbo power kicked in made stupid power.
Thanks you guys for comments. Seriously tho this setup is very easy to do. I can have turbo removed with manifold 25 mins and convert back to na no problem. Just swapping my injectors.

I like the smaller turbo for response not power or quicker spooling. Idk lol you can correct me on that? I don't need too much but if I did do bigger turbo and up the boost I run a tuner where I can change timing, fuel by 50 rpms and up, etc. But that's out of my budget for now. Lol

There's a lot of good information regarding sizing your turbo and planning for fuel in the single turbo section. Ted also has a nice list of turbos and info on fc3spro.com.

Sounds good molotovman. Will check it out. My friend has dyno machine at the shop. So I can tune the car whenever I need to. Thinking of the gt28 or gt30 ball bearing. I get plenty of fuel All around. Those 850cc injectors work out for me well.
