I've locked down the lodging and 3 meals.

Lodging will be limited and first come first serve. I will announce officially after I visit the location and verify it would work at this place. As of now, discount will be:
25% OFF til Dec. 31st
15% OFF til Jan. 31st
10% OFF til March 31st.
0% off after March 31st.

Again, rooms will be limited at Nantahala Resort (nvnc.com). But don't book your rooms until I check the place out in OCT.

I've asked some S2K owners and most said they prefer Nantahala than Fontana.

Quick update:

I'm heading to NC this weekend with couple of volunteers. I'm going to talk to the management of the new location and check out the surrounding area.

The new location: Nantahala Resort, is bit farther away from US129 than Fontana. But I'm sure the drive wouldn't hurt most of you as we all love to drive!!

I've also recently asked several S2000 owners and most of them were VERY happy with Nantahala than Fontana.

Now with the negatives... Only negative thing I could foresee happening is that the place will be SOLD out and some of you might have to find a different place for you to stay. As of now, their capacity is 300 or so. And I don't think I could reserve 100% capacity. If I like the place and I decide to have it there, Everyone needs to register with me early so that you could book the lodge! Only those who have registered with me will get a special code to get the discounted rate!

I'll let you all know in a week and we'll start the registration!!

Checked the distance on Google maps, and called Fontana about a price. Looks like I'll be in Cabin 1016 again.

 

I was hoping we could boycott Fontana.. But its your choice.

 

I would, but the proximity to 129 and the fact that they have treated me well. Dunno though, if this new place is cheap, and can be made worthwhile to drive there, then I will go for it.

I haven't reserved anything yet, waiting on what transpires this weekend.
