THP and LEO are cracking down the Dragon during the weekends. I just got off the phone with Topoco Lodge and apparently its pretty bad up there..

I'm still working on fix rate for this event and Its going to be hard to keep it under $75 for T-Shirt, Banquet Hall, 3 meals, slight profit for myself , and materials for the carshow.

I want to provide all the info as possible since I'm debating if its worth it to have it next year.

Before I officially announce if I'm going to or not... I have already worked out one thing with Fontana Village..

The lodging discounts will be as follow..

If you book before Dec 2007, they will give you 30% OFF

If you book after Dec 2007, They will give you 20% OFF

If you book 1 month til DGRR 2008 (Most likely April 11-13th, 2008), ONLY 10% OFF.

AS OF NOW, Its not official, but I have reserved 75 rooms and cabins.. I would need to finalize this by early Sept..

Again, If I don't see at least 100 people interested by then, I'm just going to tear up the contract for Fontana and going to just work on my FD.. Also, my schedule for next April is INSANE!!! I have 2-3 weddings, and 1 week vacation which i'm planning to go out of the country.... Squeezing in the DGRR will be TOUGH! But I'm willing to do so if I have enough interest.

I know.. My guess is that 150 people shouldn't be a problem.. Only issue next year is that I'll be responsible IF 150 people don't show up!!

Its going to be a gamble this time as I'm pretty much changing quite abit (for the best I think?)... I'm still waiting to hear back from Fontana about food though..

Just so you guys know, Food anywhere around Deals Gap will be expensive!! I've called Topoco Lodge (too small for all of us) and they were more than Fontana... I'm trying to lock in for $35ish for 3 meals.. Buffet style(but NOT all you can eat!).

I want to hit 100 interested party before moving foward. This would help me get support from vendors and I'll feel more comfortable about organizing it!

As of now, registration will be around $60-$70 for this event... which will include 3 meals, Tshirt, carshow, door prizes, etc..

Only 8 more people!!! COME ON!! Spread the word!
