I want everyone to know, i didnt want to be the low man on the totem pole, so i am going single turbo just to fit in with the crowd.

I literally would not have gone single if i didnt sign up for this event. So thank you Phil for helping jump start the economy of RX-7 parts.

Don't worry, by the time I get my Rx-4 ready for this event I'll probably have close to that much into it as well. It's good to have an event like this as a goal to get a project done for. Keep up the hard work, that engine is lookin good.

I just realized that my FD came from TN and i have a little dragon sticker on my hatch glass. My car is coming home. :-D

Id say about 3k so far for me.

At this point all the things that could go wrong from now till then keep ruining through my mind.

 

If it makes you guys feel any better I'm probably gonna be $5000 or better into the Rx-4. At this point the car is only comming out of paint. I still have to build the engine, install it, get it running and tuned, and basically go over the entire car and fix little things everywhere. The next 2 months are going to fly by.

 

Yea that runs through my mind too... Im rebuilding my whole engine bay, im not experienced with that, i will be taking a fragile car several hundred miles both ways.

There will be no passenger, only a spare engine, fluids, hoses, jacks, and 10,12,14mm sockets. lol

 

Funny you say that ^ where debating who's going to be the support vehicle on our ride down.... lol

Wow! I guess I shouldn't complain with the $1500 I'm putting in my car to get it ready for this event.

 

I'm up to about $4000 in my motor so far in my RX8... glad I'm not setting up the FI yet, or I would probably be close to the $8000 mark.

 

I'll be sure to stop, and please feel free to do the same if you see a silver Rx-4 at the side of the road.

Im obsessing over this event. facts are facts :-)

i just spent some more. like my 3rd gen thread said, ive spent probably 6k now to do this single turbo conversion and ive had the PFC and FMIC for years.

Im juiced. got one of the cabins at the village. I really do think i will see an RX vehicle on the side of 175 on my way there. its a buddy system :-)
