Ok so we've FINALLY updated the forum, and it's GREAT. I mean I LOVE it. Great job guys! But c'mon now...it's WAYYY past due time for updating/replacing the forum banner! Not that I'm partial to FDs, but that's the most represented/sought after/thought of generation whenever someone thinks of RX-7s. And it's also the most modern/latest version.

I'm not saying we HAVE to have an FD ONLY in the banner (as I hear some of the admins are hardcore FC heads). So how about a collage of all 3 Gens? That's a reasonable compromise, ain't it? This is prob the ONLY forum I know of that doesn't have the pinnacle model in it's production in it's banner. It's foolish for us not to.

And Christian, you know me. When I believe something NEEDS to be done, I don't give up easily. I mean c'mon...an RX-7Club that eclipses the 3rd Gen? You GOTTA be kidding me... And lets not forget that 1st Gens are what started it all too!

 

Generating interest for this as well. I'll admit that i'm an FD guy...but really it all started with the FB and FC so i'd like to see;

1. All three generations
2. Rotating

 

I'll add another $0.02 to Ramy's. I think the rotating banner idea is a good one.

 

If the amount of bitching about the header were proportionate to the amount of time visitors here spend actually looking at the header, I'd never hear a peep about it

I'll change it at some point, after all the important work is done.

PS: Just an idea, but maybe to help w/ time/effort and costs, you can hold a contest for designing the new banner, and the winner's banner can actually be used?

 

I vote it's left alone.

If enough ppl complain then do a rotating banner or that one pic with all three generations. I remember all the bitching that was done to change it to the CURRENT one.

 

Keep it simple, one banner with all 3 gens. A contest would be key to minimizing hassle. Good on ya Ramy for bringing this up again!
