I can see this one coming a mile away, but before you open your mouth and insert your foot look at your comments on this thread.
Numbers don't lie FDs don't account for the most rotary vehicles made, and to the foolish one with the comment about if it wasn't for the FD your FC/FB would never be here, well lets get real if it wasn't for the old school cars that developed the rotary there never would have been an Rx7, and if it wasn't for the FB there wouldn't have been an FC THEN an FD, oh yea did I forget something there....... oh yea the current car is an Rx8......... but we are the Rx7 club.
Now that I have ranted and raved a little, I apologize to all of the real FD owners out there that remember things like heritage and what it means to be part of the rotary community.
I say if your going to change it show all 3 but if you won't put all 3 then rotate it. If you are stuck on one car use a SA/FB

Open up a textbook or website on legendary Japanese sports cars and I almost guarantee you will see a picture of the FD and not an FB/FC.
Talk to any non-rotary enthusiast and you will hear talk about the FD and not an FB/FC.
Roll up to a crowd of people and you'll see a bigger crowd around an FD and not an FB/FC.

the thread starter is very ignorant. period. so are a lot of other people who posted.
heres why the other gens have a problem with the 3rd gen guys, some of them are just like supra/viper/porshe/etc guys that cause them to get a bad name/reputation. theyre extremely cocky and always seem like they have a big ole e-***** they need to show everyone. these people exist in all generations, but more so in the third gen section. people that go from the third gen to the 1st gen section talk about how everyone is nicer and more helpful.
there wouldnt be a FC or FD without the FB/SA. there wouldnt be an FB/SA without its predecessors. this is an RX7 forum not a FD forum, not a FC forum and not a FB/SA forum. period. so everyone take your e-***** and stick it back in your pants. i dont see why its so hard to understand why there should be all three gens on the banner. this isnt FDclub.com/FCclub.com/FBclub.com. if you think your so much better than everyone else, go start your own damn forum. period.

what would be great is getting a bunch of RX-7s together... prefereably one of each version that existed SA/FB, FC (n/a and Tii, etc.) and an FD, all in stock or near stock trim and take a nice panaramic picture of them.
something like this, but with all the RX-7s forms instead of the McLarens.

But when someone says something dumb like "it should be an FD because everyone who doesn't have one wants one" then it's only fair to respond in turn.
I repeat: I have absolutely zero desire to own an FD. They are very good at what they do, but what they do is not where my automotive interests lie, so there is zero incentive to want one. (FDs are too large, fragile, and have insufficient suspension travel for my motorsports interests. Plus, having turbos is a detriment and I wouldn't be able to fit my lanky *** in one anyway, but that's neither here nor there) Plus, my chi-chi is 70's style and the FD is anything but.
I do find it funny how some people get seriously offended when people have different values and goals. I only get offended when people try to tell me what I like.

My grandma frequently goes to the bookstore, and every time she's there she looks through books for RX-7s for me. Not one of the books has had anything but a SA or FB. In the automotive community they're simply more well remembered as the revolutionary cars they were.
The only people who think the FD was the only RX-7 made are those who say they don't watch the Fast and the Furious but really do secretly in bed at home with a bucket of ice cream.
