This is why these threads get closed. You guys just can't play nice. It turns into a pissing contest which no one is going to win.

Learn to get along even if there are differences of opinion as to what is and is not a RX-7 or anything else on the Club. Just get over it and move on.

You guys want to debate the V8 issue or any other issue between yourselves then please do it in the forum that was created for this. The DoO forum.
But please keep it out of here or I will have to shut down this thread and send all of you to your rooms with no desert! :-)

This should be a fun section for lunchtime entertainment, I'd like access too, if that isn't too much to ask.

I have been granting access to DoO for those that want it, as long as they understand the rules in there and have enough intelligent posts to show they are not some newbie that is going to go home crying.

and I changed my Avatar for you, buddy...

It's funny since Dial8 and I were talking, briefly, about Plato's Allegory of The Cave
well I got thinking...from your comments.

Ah, I think Morpheus said it best, when he said,"we have survived by hiding from them and running from them, but they are the gatekeepers. They are guarding all the doors, they are holding all the keys."

Hmm kinda like mods here.

What happens if the next RX-7 is piston powered?

The CX-7 is piston powered. That's as close as it will ever get.

Somewhere on rx8club there is a link to a interview with IIRC the president of Mazda Europe where he states that RX stands for rotary sport.

Id like access to the DoO just to see whats in there

If that's the case, then how do you explain the fact that a large percentage of members don't even own rotary-powered cars, and why do V8 enthusiasts have to explain how the rotary works and what its limitations are to many of those that do?

Just 3 moving parts...

The DoO section has NOTHING rotary related. It's a bunch of guys bitching about the next president, how much religion sucks, or things that are wrong with government.

Also, RX stands for Rotary? eXplode!

Then it would be a MX-7... not a RX-7

Mazda first letter designations for the USA:

R= Rotary powered Sports vehicle
M = Piston powered Sports vehicle
C= Piston powered Crossover vehicle
