kills section suggestion

I just had a thought that the kills section might be a waist of space (with the way it is).

In a way to clean it up / organize it, it could be set up differently.

Maybe instead off each member making a new thread for each race they had, put all members race events in one thread. Have it like a monthly or weekly thread, and everyone that has a race story to tell just posts it in that thread. A new thread will start each month or week. And maybe these threads can be sectioned regionally, SE kills, SW kills, NE kills, etc.

Just more 0.02 cents of mine.

Any other ideas / comments on this?

THE WHOLE SECTION SHOULD BE DELETED. We don't need a section that encourages people to go and drive recklessly, run from the cops, etc., etc. and then have them post about it as if it's the coolest thing that can be found on this forum.

Am I the only one that thinks that the stupid, idiotic, immature bullshit we do should be kept to yourself and nor praised by the other idiots?

I don't think it'd be too smart to start breaking up the kills by region on a public forum. Think about that for a minute..

Also, I agree, the entire kills thing is a waste of bandwidth and storage, but so is the Lounge, and any other non-technical section on the forum, but they all attract people.

I could care less if there was no kills section, most of the kills are retarded anyway, but the problem with deleting it entirely would be the 10 new kill threads that would start popping up in the lounge daily.

so, it's not like there is anything better to post about in the lounge anyways. I would venture out and say that the clash between the lounge rats and the kill *insert derogatory remark* people would be more entertaining than the normal kill threads.

As much as I would like to see the Kills section disappear I can't see that happening in the near future.

Dividing these threads up by region won't do much good because most of the users who post in there don't really care where the threads are by location, they just wanna read about some "fast and furious" action.

I agree some cleanup could happen in there based on the rules listed here : https://www.rx7club.com/racing-kills-lounge-10/rules-kills-section-27933/

Maybe we need to add an additional moderator to that section?

I would suggest not allowing any post that involves or encourages illegal activity, anywhere, whether it be the kills or lounge section. Anything like that is deleted instantly with no reason why. Read the rules, and understand them or suffer the consequences type thing. I would much prefer to hear about stories at the drag strip with a tree and barriers, not someone honking three times and plenty of objects/people to hit. If you post a top 3 time in an auto-X then that's something to read about. I think it would get more people interested in the legal side of the sport, once they realize how much fun it can be to drive like a madman and not run the risks that come with street racing. We all speed a little bit, and that is fairly well accepted, but there's already enough risk involved with driving to work, let alone trying to put the smack down on someone on the street as well. This is supposed to be a community and unfortunatly things like the kills page gives people reasons to say **** about/to other people in this community, and that's pretty counter-productive to the idea behind this forum.

the kills section should be deleted just on the basis that it inadvertently promotes street racing

You cant delete it, its a way for people to have a laugh, already too many haters on here.
If people want to race on the street and be idiots that is thier decision and we cant stop it. Instead of deleting the kills section how about start some legit threads of your own to set the example. People who read them may have stories of thier own from the track, in turn changing what people write.

If you lead by example people may change.

2-3 threads a week if that. It's officially dead. Maybe the whole debate a few months back scared people away from there?

I still say delete it, or just close it up and archive it all.
