Because I wanted accurate torque and RPM as well as to find out my peak power RPM, I put the car back on the dyno. This time on a dynopack which eliminates the wheel slip and RPM inaccuracies. I also tweaked the tune and made an extra 25 rwhp since I had an hour to myself. Red line is proper power and blue line is with 5 degrees retarded timing.

646 rwhp @ 7,800 RPM (14 PSI) with a peak torque of 469 ft/lbs (16 PSI up to 6,000 RPM). I can't believe how far this engine pulls, my large ports paid off

Guess changing the timing might not save your tranny. Lower and I suppose every bit helps.

Just got word that my new CCW 17x12" rims have been shipped and will be delivered on the 26th in perfect time to make Sigma . I also realized I never posted this pic of the new tires...

I'm thinking about going back to the dyno. After going over the logs, I think I can make this engine scream to 8k or even 8k+ and make its peak power there. Also, wouldn't hurt to clean up the fuel map. I've just been lazy because I have no need for more power so as long as its safe, it was good enough haha.

Figured an update is due. My rims came in last week in time for Sigma time attack. Some massaging of the fenders were required to fit them but they fit . I also got to test my new tri-point sway bar at the track but wasn't able to try different settings because 3rd gear decided to break again at the beginning of the 3rd session. It did fix my front understeer at low speed though. Grip is also much better and tire wear is a lot better then before thanks to some further alignment adjustments. My front left tire looks like it has a limp with all the camber

All in all, things are working well. Car is slowly starting to work better and every change is in the right direction. I decided to keep driving the car even without 3rd gear and managed to do a 1:17.8 during time attack without it. That is surprisingly faster then my best time during practice at the 1st CSCS event with a working 3rd gear so I think things are looking good. Next event should be interesting...

I dropped off my transmissions to get some gear treatments done in hopes of having a transmission that won't break so easily. I'm hoping to have it for the next Sigma event but I'm not sure it will make it in time... I don't think I can afford fenders by then either so the banged quarter panels will have to stay for a while hehe.

Some pictures...

Yah the front runner on the manifold moved down about 1mm from the weight of the turbo. I need to add another brace on the turbo, I already had one but apparently not enough. It'll be fixed for the next Sigma event.

that turbo doesn't need braces, it needs a whole shock absorber assembly.

So I'm getting a little crazy... Took my rims apart to convert them from 17x12" to 17x14" rims. Still a lot to do before Sigma, swap transmissions and remove turbo manifold.

I finally got a chance to ride in Marco's car and i was speechless...you have build a monster dude. The power and torque your car produced was something i have not experienced before. The power delivery was nuts! Its the destroyer of time, tires and transmissions lol. Glad to have been in the car chasing the McLaren

^^^Looks like a blast. Nice to see you getting the power to the ground!! Easily kept up with the McLaren. I probably would have tried to overtake him and spun out. Nice job!!
