I've got the parts needed for my 79 on order but won't know how many events I can make it to unfortunately. So I can't dedicate the funds to the whole season, even though I wish I could. Going to get the car out as soon as possible though so I can make sure all is good to go for the May event. Just hoping that it doesn't sell out...
Only 17 spots remain for May 13th. This one will be a meet as well. See https://www.rx7club.com/canadian-forum-42/may-13th-2012-spring-meet-srta-rx7-club-%40-tmp-992069/.

Maybe someone to rebuild the motor if I can't get Mark's attention for this weekend. Something werid is going on, we fired it up after winter and cleaning the carb (taking it off and cleaning all the oil out from premixing) and it is only running on one rotor. All 4 plugs are firing strong when attached to the leads laying on the inner fender (like little lightning bolts) you can see the fuel going into both p.ports from the carb. I didnt a compression test, on the 1st 2 cranks it showed 0/0/6.5 on the rear rotor, then all of the sudden it had compression and each time checked after that. I went back the next day and fired it back up and it again only ran on one rotor. So i think the seals are poofed after 4 years of racing lol.

Just found out today that I will not be able to make it to the DDT's June event. This will mess up the BBQ event at my place so I will make the next event and plan the BBQ event for then.
I won't be making the event like I planned. Ran the car at DDT last weekend with good success but I have some bugs to sort out first.
Al sorry to hear about the motor, you don't owe it anything though! 4 years of abuse is worthy
Andrew.

The engine is going on its 4th year, and if it has a sticking seal it will break either now or shortly later, no point in taking risk with housings etc and the engine is coming apart this weekend. The problem now is the apex seals were shipped via ground not express so they wont be here until Tuesday at the earliest. If someone has a set of new 2mm Carbon apex seals and springs I will gladly replace them next week if we can use them this weekend

gonna try and thrash to get the engine redone this weekend so we can make it on the 13th.
