its all good. Minor.

As far as the studs. I used 3.5 all around. If you want equal exposure use 2.5" rears 3.5" fronts. Again verify before purchasing.

They had them in stock.

P.S. Your already faster then me! So is this extended wheel studs for wider tires.!!!

I too will be not making this one, as my niece is tying the knot the evening before. I'll try to make it out just for the drive if I feel up to it!

dang. My rear coilovers have been sent out and my rear lsd is also in transit.
I also need some new rear rubber. fml.
I'll be out @ the next one.

Hahaha minor!, i like that!!! I will be getting wider rims and tires for next year! But i did get a bbk all around!! Hey im not that much faster then you!!!!

That was fun! perfect weather all day I choked on the OTA and did a second slower that my test and tune time but I'm still pleased that I moved up on the leaderboard!

I had a blast out there, the old 79 performed great overall IMO. The tires obviously held me back, but my driving also had a bit to do with it Not sure why I kept overbraking turn 3 and shifting to 2nd when I could have carried an extra 5km/h through the turn. I'm sure I lost a good amount of time because of mistakes like this.

Looking forward to getting out again, but I think I may work out some brake cooling ducts beforehand so I don't get grease boiling out of the hubs and creating a smoke traila again.

I spent yesterday shortening the axle housing for the Rx-4. I'm hoping to bring it out to the next event in July.

I didn't see you there Ian?!

I thought we were having a BBQ after too but I am thinking everyone forgot. I was going to ask you but then you weren't there.

As far as the weather being perfect - it was way too hot, at least for me! I spent most of my time hiding in the shade pouring water or ice on my head.

I posted that the BBQ was canceled. Had a small surgery that is keeping me from being to active for about a month. I saw you out on the track but before I left didn't see where you were parked. I stayed about 1.5hrs then left with the wife. (Wife drove me to the track with my son.) Son loves the race cars lol. Your GTR sounded awesome. What was your final times?

Well I guess I will post this here for all to see my horrible driving lol. I am happy with the time I was able to achieve, but seeing the video shows me where I can definitely improve even on the tires I was running. Smoother braking, throttle control, and steering could have helped as well, but I see that as part of the learning experience and at times did add to the fun.

Oh yeah, anybody have any suggestions for a decent but low priced tire? I have found the Kumho Ecsta XS in a size that would work for the car, but unsure how well they would perform. I would be looking at getting a 14-15" wheel.

The starspecs and RS3's are pretty popular do it all tires. A friend of mine posted a 1:12.xx on yoko AD08's with a civic ek (stock D16 engine non-vtec 106hp!) which is pretty impressive. The AD08's would keep you in group B as well

ahh, I missed your post! The last 3 weeks have been crazy for me. Finally able to take a breather and regroup. I ran a 1:10.4 but the website shows it as 1:10.91, still not bad.

I had to fight the car non stop and don't think I put in even a single clean lap. Eliminating power steering was a huge mistake. my arms are still so sore that I haven't taken it out of the trailer or anything.

in the time attack my first lap was a 1:11.2 and the car had no power for the last 300' of the lap (tuning issue), my 2nd lap I overdrove the hairpin and almost went off, was like 1:19 or something somehow.

Yup putting power steering back on my car (10th AE). Not really required for the GP track but every other one its nice. Your time is good. Best I had was 1:11.89 or something last year. What happened to jims car? He didn't post a time in time attack?

Thanks guys, it just really shows what having proper tires does for you, last year on my scrubs the fastest time I could manage was 1:10.16

All I did over the winter was add weight (roll bar + tow hitch)

1:07.95 was achieved on my first session out with the Hoosiers on Sunday :S

Thanks for the tire suggestions. Unfortunately the starspecs dont come in a size that would work for me. So i guess is a decision between the Ecsta XS and RS3's. Both seem to have positives and negatives but I am heading toward the Ecstas for their unrivalled dry grip according to reviews i have read. Now i just need to find some 15" wheels in the 4x110 bolt pattern.

Well I'm an idiot. I realized last night that the next event is on the same day as my sister's stag and doe bbq and I'm in the wedding party. Doesn't look like I'll make it. I checked the August date and as far as I know I should be free that weekend. Guess I'll see you guys at DDT in August.

I can't make the next event. I have prepaid for the year and cannot get a refund. My suspension rebuild parts are on a month back order and the repair time is a few weeks as well. Can someone please buy my spot? $200 is the cost. Event July 8, 2012 at TMP. Late post as I missed the email from SIGMA over two weeks ago that I cannot get a refund.

Note next year I am only booking three weeks before each event
