Yeah RX-7's aren't usually the ideal first car someone should own in my opinion. Very twitchy rear end with a shorter wheel base and very unpredictable.. meh have fun but be careful with it i guess.

I had an Rx7 for my first car. I would speed a little, but I didn't street race or push the car too hard. As long as you respect the car and take it easy, it can be a good first car, but it does take a couple of years to build some skill driving. That's why you just gotta take it easy and think about the big picture. It's very important to keep a clean record for the first while, and because you are young and driving a sports car, you don't get much for leniency. It's ok to have fun once in a while though .

 

Alright...I think enough is enough. Lets set a date for a meet and meet! What about Saturday, the 11th of August? I suck at making it to things when they are planned too far ahead, but two weeks might be alright. Could anyone else make it?

Anyone intersted in buying my Turbo II for pretty cheap? It won't stay running, but body and everything else is in pretty good shape. Engine could be fixed up to run as it has good compression or would be perfect for a v8 swap or even better... a 20b swap.

shure is quiet around here....havent seen an rx in a couple of days...some *** **** broke my windshield anyone have an idea where to find another one...and the rx7 at bucks autoparts is forsale as a whole care only for 1300 bux

 

Yeah, it's been quiet. I saw a black FD last weekend, but that is it. I am always lookin for you guys. My car is down and out until I get the custom driveshaft finished. Adam at Rx7 Specialties in Calgary is having another shop make one for me in trade for my old engine and some cash, but the yoke the other shop had ended up being bad after being put together and Adam is on holidays so I am stuck waiting...kinda sucks since it is all I need.

Is that Rx7 at rx7 specialties a 1st or 2nd gen? If it's a 2nd gen, is it just base with 4 lug or do you know anything about it?

I am doing some Upgrades on the FD so it will be out of commision for about 2 more weeks. Just been busy working

 

just bought that t2 from Jared for an amazing deal thanks agian buddy the car has some running issues but i found one problem already the AFM was not plugged in jared if u know why it wasnt plugged in let me know so i dont waste my time other then that ill keep u guys updated on its progress

 

still no porgress i plugged in the air flow meter and it did notting so i tested it and it came out ok. now instead of the car starting and running for 5 seconds it starts and dies right away so i solved one problem. any thoughs guys

 

Sounds like it is ECU/Sensor related. I would also check all of the vacuum hoses to make sure there isn't any leaks. If it's starting then you are getting air, spark and fuel. I am guessing that you can't rev it up it up to keep it running? Are you getting any beeps from the computer after it dies?

 

ya i dont know why, but when its plugged in it runs worse. i thought about changing out the sensor but never did try.

 

Hey, does anyone know anything about that Rx7 at Bucks? Like year and model? I need some parts and just wondering if anyone has seen it.

ya i noticed that 2 then i noticed that the stock alarm was going off as well idn if u hurd it or not and also those 2 blue wires by the door need to be put togeather lol...also u missed a line being off and i think i can get it going now...any other dieas jared
