Mobil 1 M1-108 oil filters

I'm taking my car in for an oil change today and I was wondering if anybody has used Mobil's oil filters. Canadian Tire seems to stock a few of them, but not the M1-108 for the FD and RX-8. Amazon won't ship them to Canada... so I'm wondering if anybody has been able to source them easily and if they're any good. "The internet" says that they are identical to K&N filters.

Side note: I am hearing that happy little Gran Turismo oil change tune in my head now...

Must be an Ontario market thing - I've never seen anything but the crappy Frams at Walmarts here. I've gotten Mobile 1s at Canadian Tire before - I thought the 91 FC spec'd the same filter as FDs, but I'm not positive on that.

They are pretty good filters, just pricey. And it's exactly the same thing as the K&N except the K&N has a nut welded to the end of it. They are both made by Champion Labs. I personally use Wix on all my cars. PartSource can get all of these. IIRC Walmart stocks Purolator filters now while CT pushes Fram.

It's a bit of overkill for 3,000 km oil change intervals, but I try to go with the best for my FD.

I'm using a momo oil filter believe it or not but other than that, wix or Mazda filters seem good

PS: My fd came with the momo filter but if anyone wants pics I can get some!
