Sounds good Gary. I'm thinking it would be better to plan the finer details of who brings what sometime in mid-July, when we have a better idea of who can make the meet and who can't.

Hmm, i'm going to be in calgary for holidays anyways so i might as well come out to this. It'd be nice to not be surrounded by mustangs and pickup trucks for a change.

I have the video's. I've been too absorbed in rotary projects and advancing my carrer to view them and transport them to my hard drive. But I have em. Right here. Im touching the DVD-RAM disc's right now.

Actually I'd heard of it, but it's more a case of "happily married to Korean hottie = not interested in sites geared toward singles," Or so I thought, so never bothered to investigate.

But since someone has mentioned it in the same sentence as RX7s...
Singles? Nope. More of a way of networking with co-workers, fellow car enthusiasts, long lost friends, etc. great way to send out bulk messages, too

There are one or two Cali based RX-7 clubs on Facebook. I just opened a new one at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2503612015&ref=mf for more general ownership (hint: Canadians)

I may not be able to make it to the meet now. I have a wedding to go to on the 28th in Jasper. If we get back at a decent hour, I'll be there.

Bummer, Shauno. On the other hand, the wedding should be a blast. This meet and BBQ will be going well into the late afternoon/early evening, so better late than never. Bring a couple of bridesmaids with you.

I'll do what I can, Brett. Did you need two for yourself, or are you thinking of your friends?

Do any of you guys know what the FD market in Calgary is like now that the RHD's are coming in from Japan? I had a guy call me and ask if I was interested in selling. I'm not exactly a motivated seller, so I quoted him a very high number and he didn't even flinch.

Again, I highly doubt I'd sell her, but I'm curious to know what the market's like for a clean, relatively well-maintained FD given that the RHD's are changing the marketplace.

By the way, I saw a red RHD in a strip mall near Mount Royal college Tuesday night. Does it belong to anyone on the forum?

I think that I saw the same one driving down deerfoot heading north. I tryed to get a closer look but the car merged off onto beddington. Looks like a clean FD.

I'm flying down tomorrow to get my FD so I will be able to bring it to the meet.

The one I saw looked nice enough, although the paint was kind of tired. It looked like there'd been a roof rack on it at one time. It must've just arrived, as the license plate was just propped up in the back window.

Definitely thinking of the friends. I don't think Tiana would be very pleased to see me getting all cozy with said bridesmaids.

It seems to have had the opposite effect of what I thought it would. LHD FD's are going up in value it looks like, instead of down. I've had my eye out for one over the last couple months, now that my company pays me more money.

If I time it right, I might have one for the BBQ.

Aviator - Has anyone said that they will bring a patato salad? If not I you can put my name on the list for that. I now know that I should be able to make it without any problems.

Excellent! (touches fingers like Mister Burns).

So here's the official list of volunteered items thus far:

Tiana and I:

The venue.
A couple 12-packs of pop.
A box of burgers and package of jumbo wieners.
Condiments/ salad dressing.
The BBQ and propane.

84 Stock:

Buns for burgers and wieners.

Football 22:

Potato salad.

Here's the remaining items still requested:

More burgers/ wieners.

Process cheese slices.

Tossed salad.

Potato chips/ natchos, etc.

More bevs. (May be alcoholic or non. We're just a little concerned if there's too much booze though--- we'd like everybody to get home safe).

Ice. (two coolers' worth)

Fresh fruit (watermelon, grapes, pineapple, whatever).

A video camera if someone has one and can post vid clips.

I'll most likely bring my camera. It can make videos but they aren't really the best quality. And if you want, I can buy cheese slices while im at the store getting salad. they are cheap.

Shouldn't need any more than say, four bags. (judging by how much was consumed last year).
