If the rumors are true this would be the 1600cc NA direct inject engine.

Much better than the previous, model, but the engine cover still says Renesis on it. The front end is alot more aggresive now. When they do put the 16X in it I may add it to the want list.

I like the new rx8. If it really is the 1600cc renesis direct inject motor good for 300 hp, I will consolidate the legacy GT and the TII into that car.
The link seems to be dead, but from the rx8club site what seems to be the same series of shots: http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=135098
I like that they're going for a more aggressive face, but it comes off a bit busy and ricey to me, although that might change seeing it in person. It's looks a bit like it's gotten an underbite with the protruding chin - or just going for the Brian Mulroney/Jay Leno look. I can see that catching a lot of curbs, especially if the car was lowered, which I think it should be
The new rims look great, although I hope they won't just be in dark grey - not a fan of the dark rim look, unless there's a polished lip or something, and even then it depends on the car's color. The Recaro's look great - I wonder if they'll be standard, or a high-cost option?
Since the engine cover still says Renesis, I presume it's not the 16X - which would hugely increase the appeal. Otherwise, it's just a mid-life freshening: not bad, but not too much to be cranked about. Doesn't make me love it or hate it particularly more.

From what I understand and dont quote me exactly, in Canada we will have 3 models. The model shown is the R3 model with all the bling etc. The GS and GT models will not be quite as flashy. I dont know about powertrains, tranny's etc.
Still 232 Hp...

Looks like I'll be sticking with my broken TII and Subaru Legacy DD.
