I like the NGK Powerdex and the PLX units myself. The NGK Powerdex is relatively cheap, uses the kick-butt sensor, and has a very visible (large and bright) digital output.

The car has been in the incubator. Hopefully she comes out very soon and I'll let you know about the map you sent me.

Anyone else want to call bs on this global warming crap? We are still like 8 degrees bellow normal... It's still too cold to venture outside and work on the car, for any period of time.

Of course it's BS, Nismo. It's a hoax but the "threat" of it is being used for political gains by those people that aren't statesmen but rather power-hungry politicians who seem to think that they're not only smarter than you and I (the rank and file) but were somehow created to come in here and "fix" our problems. It's pushed by thieves and liars like Al Gore and others who'll either profit off of our ignorance of the subject or use it to weasel their way into gaining more control.

Same fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, different time and people.

Have a peek at this for a good laugh: http://www.denisdutton.com/cooling_world.htm

Brian, would bringing a bag of ice for the tmic be a good idea for such a long tuning session? I know it doesn't take long for my IC to heat soak like a mother.

Cheers,

Kevin

Brian,

Hope you have good correction maps. And hot/cold start maps. This cold weather start is crazy. I was crying in my garage and that is with the door open! Never started it really this cold!.

Can you install the new version V1.81 for the e8 as well?

Just a friendly reminder, make sure you can remove the O2 Sensor in your down pipes, I just tried installing mine in the new bung I welded in yesterday, and there might have been a little bit of a burr afterwards, and the O2 sensor wouldn't seat properly. There is nothing worse than a leaky O2 sensor or constantly ruining the threads on a sensor, so do yourself a favour, as well as Brian (it is his sensor you will likely be using) and chase them with a die, I just picked up the die at Crappy T for 9 bucks and change, use the 18mm end and you are good to go!

Cheers,

Kevin

+1. The threads on my first NTK sensor got ruined when I was in AL in Aug '06. Had to get real creative to make it work again -- shaved a couple threads off the base of the sensor. Yay for the $200+ sensor :o

REMINDER TO EVERYONE ABOUT SUNDAY!! BRING YOUR DEPOSIT MONEY OR CONTACT ME NOW OR YOUR SPOT WILL BE OPENED UP!!!

On March 30th (sunday) I am going to be at the Tim Horton's on the southwest corner of the QEW & Winstonchruchill exit.

I will be there between the hours of 10am and 12pm to accept deposits.

I will be looking for your dyno fees in full, as I have arranged to pay the operator for everyone's spot when I arrive on the first day. So get your $200 ready

If you cannot make it out for whatever reason, please post here or PM me and we can arrange an email transfer or a paypal payment.

As of now, making your deposit will be what holds your spot, so if you can't make the payment, consider your spot up for grabs.

I'll be there, hopefully in the FD. Provided it doesn't snow today.
