From N/A to Turbo: My new Turbo II

Side Marker adapter test fit...
Success!
Test fitted a wheel over last weekend.
It's looking pretty tight between the strut and the fender. Wheels are 17x8.5 +38. I think I'd like to see the wheel be spaced away from the strut about 5 mm.
But then the question is how that fits the stock fenders? Maybe a roll? Would love to get some opinions since "aggressive" wheel fitment is also a new area for me.

Wheel offset on the wheels are a bit more than I'd be comfortable running for an 8.5" wheel. When you stick rubbers on those wheels, that shock is definitely getting rubbed. I run a 17x8" +28 225/45R17 on the front, which has utterly no clearancing issues on the inside, but still has the tire/wheel protrude a bit past the fender on stock camber settings. In your case, you'll definitely be running spacers to fix that clearancing issue on the front, so the wheel will be protruding even more. If you go by RETed's suggestions, you'll actually probably be using 8mm spacers minimum. A fender roll is a must if you want to drive it anywhere, although front overfenders might be necessary the more I think about it. It really depends on what size tire you put on the wheels. The rear is going to be completely fine, though might need a roll depending on how much you space the rears. You'll probably want to space the rears more than the fronts to bring the tire/wheel to the same proximity of the fender edge front and rear. Otherwise, it'll look like your rear wheels are skinnier than the fronts even though you have a square set up. Though, this might put you at the point where you'll need extended wheel studs.
Ditto on both points. And your suspension set up might also play into your wheel fitment, so that'd be great to know.

For the suspension set-up, my current thinking is the following:
1. Racing Beat Sway-bar Set - all around nice performance and economically priced.
2. Silk-Road RMA8 Coilovers - Great entry level coilovers. While it appears to be that they are not height adjustable, I'm not looking to really "stance-bro" the car.
My original thinking was to go the TEIN Flex route, but they are no longer in production for the FC. At the end of the day, I'd love to have a flush (maybe a TINY bit poked) with the wheel clearance sitting "just right." A forum example I can think of are slava's FC (more on the aggressive side, but delicious). There are some others, but I'll have to do some digging.
I'll be posting a description on the images below, but for now, here is the first completed center cap!

Getting ready for install day! Thursday to Sunday will be dedicated to hopefully installing all these goodies that for some have been sitting for quite some time!
After doing some major, major digging... I ended up with these lovelys... Blitz ZZ-R Damper coilovers. Good all round performance, and got them for a song and dance .
Did a major tune up on the car, with new JDM NGK plug wires, new plugs, new O2, oil change... the works! What a dream it is with the new O2 sensor. After removing the old one, it looks like it may have never been done. I'll be hopefully investing in a GoPro in the near future, so a video will be in the works!
Just a nice little shot

I've been away from the forums for quite some time... Took some time off cars to focus on work and moving.
Some photos from last season. Got around to installing the coilovers . Ended up going with 20mm spacers in the rear, and 10 in the front. Overall ride is fantastic, very predictable and not uncomfortable. I think the front needs to be raised a hair, as there is a tiny bit of rubbing when going over harsh bumps.
Lip also came in
Thanks for looking!
