Lando's daily driver/balanced street '88 tii build

Watsup all. Finally saved up for my first rotary, and wow what a dream come true it has been. Ive loved rotaries since i was a kid and went to the track with an uncle and his rotary friends. Watching them brap down the 1/4 i knew i'd own one someday. Ive ecspecially loved fc's from initial d, and every video game it was in. I am finally in the position to afford one(kinda) and think i have have enough mechanical skill to fix most of the problems that arise. Bought from badboi24, he and rotary master coqui put together a nice setup. Right now it has 81,xxx miles with 10k plus on a rebuild. List of upgrades include
Mirotech ltx-12s + x6 ignition
Hybrid turbo
Upgraded fuel pump + injectors
Fmic
Hks bov
Sway bar
Full 3 inch exhaust
Act 6 puck
Removed a/c + p/s
This thing moves. And screams while doing so. I have to admit tho, in the 48 hours i had her running, ive been
Locked out
Broke down twice(cotter pin touching back of alternator)
Fuel lines rusted out
Brake lines rusted out
Pulled over
Shoot flames!!!
Its been fun, i cant wait for this Chicago winter to be over. So far ive
Replaced spark plugs + wires
Oil change
Fuel lines + filter
Rusted brake line
I plan to (in order)
Reconnect temp gauge
Reconnect heater core(thanks silverbullet)
upgrade radiator
Replace all bushings + mounts
Paint s5 front bumper i have and mount(thanks kurato)
Coilovers
Rims(have my eye on axis klassics)
Much much more!
Any feedback or advice is appreciated. Thanks!! On to the pics! More to come soon.

Tell me about it. Right now I'm trying to reconnect the stock temp gauge. I found some wiring diagrams, I see it's supposed to be a yellow/white wire? If I were to run a wire from the sensor, where do I connect it to. One the diagram it showed the side of the trans, that can't be right. Thanks in advance

Well the coolant temp unit is a single wire screw in sensor under the oil filter pedestal. Should have a yellow wire. Just check for continuity between the sensor and the gauge cluster. If there's no continuity find out why (broken wires, bad grounds (unrelated to continuity but will cause it to not function), or a bad gauge. If all else fails hard wire a new wire straight to the gauge.

Thanks. Found the sensor, but cant find any yellow wire. The stock harness has a lot of stuff unplugged, but youre saying it goes straight to the cluster. Will look for yellow wire,if not run a new one. Appreciate it cross, i know how important coolant temps are. Thanks again

Youd think it runs straight to the cluster anyway... Could go through the ECU at some point. Dont remember.

Lol, thanks, shes crazy and puts a grin on my face just thinking about it. Btw, my names Orlando, but everyone calls me Lando(like lando calrissian or lando Griffin) but thanks for the bump anyways. cant wait to cruise with some other rotaries while our engines sing the song of their people
