About the harness points. Not sure if you seen my pic's, i welded stress plates at a couple of places.

4 in the back, and for in the floor in case i want to add crutch straps.

For the lap belts, they are at original locations.

Anyway, as this is one of those things you need to make your self, its intresting to see how other people did certain things

Agreed. Fire that thing up on a stand. The 6 rotor guys beat us both.

I know myself too well for that, If I get the engine to fire up on a stand the FC chassis will probably never get finished, I'll just weld some wheels and a steering wheel onto the engine stand and be done with it. Kidding aside, part of it is actually true, If I went ahead with assembling, mounting and testing the engine before any chassis work is done the chassis wouldn't get done like it's getting done right now.

Yeah I know , but ah well, 4-rotors aren't exactly new, mazda made and ran the 13J 4-rotor engine before I was even born so I'm not worrying about anyone finishing an engine before me .

Progress on the car is currently pretty slow, I'm currently doing the wiring which is a huuge task, even though you can't see a lot of it when done The stock wiring harness was really bad, and most of it isn't needed anymore anyways so I'm making a completely new harness at the moment. Did the main power supply, fuse box, relays and ignition switch today, currently wiring the ecu.

It's a factory piece from a non AC car.

Yeah, about that, any change that you let us in on the type of ECU you are using ;-), I'm still considering which ECU to go for in my "6-port once to be turbocharged with working 6-port actuators project" (here in europe (and Japan) we have nice and compact actuators that aren't in the way of a turbocharger) and was wondering which affordable ECU's there are besides the MS3 which is on top of my current list...

Exactly, most of the cars here are non AC, because 99% of the time it isn't really hot here anyway.

Well the ECU I'm using does not do split timing (or well you can set a fixed amount of split timing, but there isn't a split timing map or anything) so you probably don't want to use it on a turbo setup. Not a big deal for me since my engine is n/a. I see your located in the netherlands, maybe take a look at Universal-EMS-2, available from BS-Autotune. It uses the same processor and programming software as megasquirt does, but it comes as a complete EMS, which takes the DIY part and all the trouble that comes with it out of it. If you get the one with enclosure and a prefabbed wiring loom (which I would advice you to do) you only have to wire the EMS to all the sensors / coils / injectors ect. and it's good to go. Saves you a LOT of trouble.

99% of the time it is hot here, no one has air conditioning and 90% of the motors are limping around with blown coolant seals.. lol.

honestly you don't even need to run 2 plugs per chamber, the power difference won't be huge nor will fuel consumption. which is probably why we're both thinking about the same ECU.
