That is so cool! You should check out the NA section in Rotary Car Performance.

front shocks
this is the mold for the body. its simply masking tape pulled tight from end to end to keep the form.
and heres the beginning of the fiberglass. it will have 2 layers of glass and 2 layers of burlap

here she is all trimmed out the next day, i painted my #5 on the side, cut a hole for my grills, and today i finished it all up with trim on all the edges. aluminum on the bottom, and loom on the front and back. i still need to trim around the exhaust.
otherwise i think all thats left to do is a windscreen, and the hold downs for the body.

Man, you really don't mess around getting stuff done! If this was my project I'd still be looking at wondering what to do next. Great stuff
I think that's about the least of his worries if this thing came to a really sudden stop. Haha

haha. thanks guys.
the seats are pretty hard core solid actually.
the car is totally finished now and legally registered for the road!!!!
i weighed it, and it weighs a whopping 1210lbs without the body, and likely 1250lbs with the body (ill need to weigh it again hopefully tomorrow now that its totally done), but its an easy 500lbs LIGHTER than a smart car!! HOLY!! i couldn't believe it!
now to get some sun and put some miles on it!!
heres the wind screen i made for it
its called the "paper bag princess" as a stab at the popular show quality hot rods of the 1960s known as 'the druid princess' as well as the 'pineapple princess'.
made a removable muffler for it from scratch to keep it much quieter than the baffles do just so i dont have hateful neighbors. this gives it a nice LOW tone much like a wake boat and it idles at a nice 60 decibels.
and here it is over all in its finished state. im very happy with it and its very nice and smooth to drive!!! not bad for $4000 and just over a year worth of evenings, with about a 6 month non-progress period.

I love the glass work man . Looks almost hemp like on material . All I can say is you have truly inspired me to build one . I know a hoarder of antique automotive goods. Maybe blow thru carb setup for me though . Not in any way trying to steal your thunder . Mines not happening anyway til we move into our new house next year . Once again a double 🻠to you sir

^ do it! it was a fun build and so awesome to drive! it may just get this supercharger next year, but for now, im happy with its power for what it is. it will blow its little tires off between every gear and skid them when down shifting, so more power isnt always a good thing. haha
