Cool build, but YES, this baby will BARK with those short pipes!! Get a pair of cool camo ear protectors, or find a way to insert some baffling in those pipes. Your neighbors are gonna LOVE you

That gilmer belt with alternator and supercharger had me thinking MAD MAX!! Now THAT would sound awesome. I wouldn't cover that with a hood shroud.

^ i know, the blower was gona be awesome! but it just added so much hassle to things and so much more future costs as it begins to break things. ill just drive it for a season and then tear it down and port it hard for the next season and get the same power with the less hassle.

this will be nothing new for the neighbors. they've been used to it for awhile........... =)

If your name's not MAX, you should change it. We definitely know you're MAD

LOL. This is huh-larious. I like your definition of fun. I think it was a good decision to ditch the supercharger... stock NA rx7s can spin the oem 15x6 so this will shred your bike tires for sure! I remember doing exhaust work and starting my old NA in the garage with the cat-back off... it shook the windows in my garage! I hope to see you driving around with goggles, scarf and earplugs!

I started my car with the exhaust disconnected one time and my wife ran outside and cussed at me.

My wife is legally deaf and when I did this she didn't have her hearing aids in.

^ sweet!

sorry guys. ill try to post some pics tonight. but in the mean time, i have a question. the 2 vacuum diaphragms on the 85 distributor.... can anyone tell me.... do these both just simply go to a manifold vacuum source? or is one pre-vacuum or what?

im hoping to be able to fire this motor tonight for the first time, and be able to drive it on saturday. just doing basic wiring tonight enough to accomplish this.

alright, as promised...

heres the business side of things with my heat shield and wrapped pipes.

the pedals are finished and i added a piece of sheet aluminum to the side of the trany and the cage area for my feet to slide against nicely, as its a tight fit that may require driving shoes!

heres how its starting to look from the front

Name: IMG_4665.jpg

and this afternoon i started the dash. the GPS is my speedometer, wide band A/F gauge, tach, the red button is my ignition, and the switch in the center is my turn signals. the right side will eventually have oil, water, volts and maybe EGTs in it.

then tonight i fought with the stupid distributor and coil wiring with no luck at all. it seems every image or schematic i find on the web is different and no configuration of wiring that i have tried has given me any spark. im told the ignitors on the dizzy are good... so who knows.

if anyone can help with this dilemma that would be awesome!!!
